Blood
Blood Found at the Crime Scene might belong to Anna Garcia or Erica Piedmont. They both have the same blood type (B) as the blood found at the crime scene.

Hair
The hair found at the crime scene belongs to Anna Garcia. This is Anna Garcia's because it is the same color and the same and it has the same frizzy look.

Fingerprint
The fingerprint found at the crime scene belongs to Alex Garcia. The fingerprints are the same because they are the same ridge pattern and have the same minutiae.

Shoe Print
The shoe print found at the crime scene belongs to Anna Garcia. The shoe print found at the scene had multiple circles a uniform distance away. All of the other shoes had non-circular patterns or a completely different pattern altogether.

Unknown drug
The unknown substance is Acetylsalicylic Acid (aspirin). The appearance and the reactions to the indicators is identical to the unknown substance.

Time of Death
The time of death was determined through examining the changes in body temperature and the Glaister equation. Anna Garcia died at approximately 7am.

Blood Spatter Analysis
Through thorough examination of the blood spatters at the crime scene, it had been determined that they were in perfect circles that came from a 90 degree angle. There was no dragging, struggle, or impact blood spatter so she was either sitting or standing. It also showed us that the blood spatter gets bigger as the height increases. Based upon the crime scene bloodstain patterns and by looking at the trendline in the graph, I could notice that the range from which the blood fell from was between 60cm to 80cm.

At age 14 Anna Garcia is diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes after describing symptoms such as fatigue, always feeling thirsty even if she has been drinking lots of water, frequent urination, and weight lose with no lifestyle change. She was diagnosed after lab tests show glucose in her urine, and that her insulin levels do not respond to increased glucose levels.
3.1.2
Anna Garcia is taken to the hospital at 14 months because of a high fever, and lots of pain. Abdomen is tender and enlarged on the left side. The test preformed were CBC, hematocrit, blood oxygen, CT scan, and a sickle cell test. The results of these tests found: low red blood cell count, high white blood cell count, lower than normal hemotocrit (20%), lower than normal levels of blood oxygen, an abnormal spleen (splenic sequestration), and she tested positive for sickle cell anemia. She was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, severe anemia, and splenic sequestration. Her treatment is antibiotics, pain medication, blood transfusions, and intravenous hydration.
4.2.1
Anna Garcia is referred to a cardiologist after two incidents of chest pain. Anna does not smoke but drinks a high amount of alcohol. She also eats a diet high in calories and fat and does not formal exercise. She also takes a daily asprin. Anna has a family history of early heart disease as well as uncontrolled hypertension. Her father had a heart attack when he was only 41 years old. Anna Garcia was evaluated by physical exam, blood work, cardiac stress test with electrocardiogram (EKG), and an echocardiogram. Results of these tests later prompted an angiogram. The physical exam found that Anna was tachycardic, had a high systolic blood pressure (142/85), a slight heart murmur was detected, and she ha a high waist circumference (33 inches). No signs of edema were found. However, Anna mentioned an occasional tingling sensation in her right calf. Anna completed a treadmill stress test. During which PVC's and ventricular tachycardia were observed (indicating mitral regurgitation). An angiogram revealed a blockage in the left anterior descending coronary artery. The left ventricle is also slightly enlarged. After this visit stenting is recommended.
4.3.1
All of Anna's cholesterol levels were tested with he following results: Total Cholesterol – 389 mg/dL (high), LDL – 243 mg/dL (high), HDL – 60 mg/dL (normal), Triglycerides – 145 mg/dL (normal), Fasting blood sugar – 85 mg/dL (normal), Hemoglobin A1c – 7.1% (normal for a diabetic). Anna's genetic analysis indicates that she is heterozygous for FH (autosomal dominant)
5.1.1
Anna was admited to the hospital for a sickle cell crisis, during this stay she required a urinary cathder. After leaving the hospital she noticed symptoms of a UTI. The following tests were preformed: urinalysis (results: positive for a bacterial infection), Gross Examination of Colony Morphology (results: Anna has a bacteria similar to Serratia marcescen bacteria. These colonies appear small, wavy margins, raised elevation, and a red color.), gram stain (results: Anna's bacteria is gram negative and coccus), Gram Negative Bacterial Identification (results: That Anna’s bacteria is Serratia marcescens) Anna's recommended treatment is administration of pain medication containing Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride and administration of the antibiotic aminoglycoside.
Anna Garcia has a 59% risk of heart disease. her risk factors include: physical inactivity, low number of fruits and vegetables, family history.

1.3.1
-Abdomen is distended
-swollen ankles
-signs of Edema
-no blood alcohol content
-no skull fracture
-fingers and toes are gray
-Trace amounts of acetylsalicylic acid present
-No evidence of overdose of non-prescription or prescription drugs
-CLOTHING
The body is admitted to the morgue clothed and within a body bag. One ring is present on the right ring finger. Clothes are not torn but are stained with blood. A small amount of vomit is present on the shoulder area of the blouse.
-FOOD
in the days before her death Anna ate a large amount of foods that were heavy in sugar and calories.

2.2.1
There is no evidence of alcohol or illegal drugs in the blood. Her blood glucose level is 280 (very high). No toxins were found in the stomach, 125 mL of partially digested food is present in the stomach. The mucosa of the esophagus, stomach, three parts of the small intestine, the duodenum, the jejunum, the ileum, the large intestine, the colon and rectum, appears normal. The partially digested food in her stomach is very high in sugar and low in fat and protein.
2.3.3
No evidence of non-prescription drugs were found in the urine. ketones and high amounts of protein were found in the urine. The lens of the right eye appears cloudy. Blood vessels in both eyes are swollen. Abnormal blood vessels are present on the left retina. Due to this vision was most likely compromised. The left kidney is pale and is showing signs of necrosis.
3.1.1
Trace amounts of hydroxyurea are found in the blood, this is medicine used to treat sickle cell. The microscopic analysis of Anna's blood found that some of her red blood cells were more sickle shaped rather than circle shaped.
4.1.2
Blood testing revealed statins in her blood. Anna was prescribed an ACE inhibitor although no evidence of this was found in the blood. Anna had most likely not taken the medication for 3-4 days. Examination of the heart revealed concentric left ventricular hypertrophy. There is also evidence of mild mitral valve prolapse. A stent is present in the left anterior descending coronary artery; however, scar tissue and clots partially block or occlude the lumen of the vessel. The right coronary artery is 80% occluded. Narrowing is also noted in the renal arteries as well as the cerebral arteries and provides evidence of atherosclerosis. There is also evidence of mild peripheral vascular disease in the left leg.

6.1.2
A cardiovascular dissection showed plaquing in multiple coronary arteries with significant occlusion. It also showed pale, highly ischemic tissue indicative of coagulative necrosis in the anterior section of the left ventricle near septum. It showed a clot in the left ventricle called a left ventricular mural thrombus. The brain appeared normal from the outside but a dissection revealed significant occlusion in the frontal lobe coming from the middle cerebral artery (MCA) Brain cells are necrotic (dead) and are consistent with ischemia (reduced blood flow). It was also discovered that Anna's UTI medicine was switched with ergotamine (migraine medicine) which works by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain. She dies as a result of a stroke, but she was murdered.
Anna Garcia Death Police Report Autopsy F
Following a tip from Alex Garcia discussing a letter that Anna Garcia wrote to him concerning an alleged affair between his current wife, Erica Piedmont, and Anna Garcia’s business partner, Lucy Leffingwell. Erica Piedmont and Lucy Leffingwell are alleged to have worked together to murder Anna Garcia by switching Anna Garcia’s medication with Erica Piedmont’s migraine medication. Erica Piedmont and Lucy Leffingwell were arrested and are being held on charges of murder.
