"O pequeno príncipe", written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is one of the most famous books in world literature. The story is told by a pilot who, after a crash in the Sahara desert, meets a mysterious boy from another planet, the asteroid B-612. This boy is the Little Prince, the main character of the work, who reveals to the narrator his travels to different planets and the encounters he had with peculiar figures, with characteristics and behaviors typical of adults. During his trip to Earth, the Little Prince often talks about the rose he left on his planet, a symbol of love and fragility. He also meets a fox, who teaches him the important lesson “what is essential is invisible to the eyes” which shows us the importance of bonds and what really matters, even if it is not visible! I liked the book because, despite being simple, it conveys profound messages about life and feelings, making us reflect on the way we live. I recommend reading it to all ages, as it is a classic that leaves its mark and teaches valuable lessons for life.

"O Mostro que Veio do Gelo", written by David Walliams, is set in London in 1899. The protagonist is Elsie, a 10 year old girl who lives in an orphanage and dreams of adventures. One day, she hears about a strange creature discovered in the Arctic: a frozen woolly mammoth that is going to be exhibited at the Natural History Museum. Curious and brave, Elsie manages to enter the museum and discovers that the mammoth – which she calls Monster – is about to be brought back to life! With the help of an eccentric professor, Elsie embarks on a daring mission to free the animal and take it back to its rightful home, facing police, villains and icy challenges. I liked the book because it mixes fantasy with exciting and even historical moments. There are many funny parts and others that make us think about freedom, respect for animals and the importance of friendship.
