All of their anti-doings were really dangerous but they were never caught because they looked so young no cop or Nazi suspected them. One day in 1941 the Commander of the Haarlem resistance group asked the sisters mother if they would like to join the group. Freddie and Truus learned how to use guns and learned other things.
Their main mission was to kill the Nazis. They had to seduce the Men in bars and then bring them into a forests to either kill the Nazis themselves or Another member in the resistance group would kill the Nazi. Once they killed the person they would run away on a bike. At the time only nurses would have bikes so many people wouldn't suspect that 2 girls that look like children would be assassinating Nazi Officers. They had to plan months before going to kill their target.

Her name was Hannie Schaft and when they first met they didn't trust each other at all. They were just staring at each other waiting for one to make a move. Hannie thought they were spys and both of the sisters had also thought that but towards Hannie. After a few minutes they burst out laughing and got to planning. Close to the end of the war Hannie had gotten captured and was killed by Dutch Nazi by getting shot in the head. It was one day before her birthday and she had died at the age of 92
June 18, 2016 was the day Truus Oversteegen died. She was also 92 when she died.
