I would love to understand more about how the IB program provides  authentic opportunities for students to connect their learning to the world around them. 

To which part of your reading do you feel is most challenging to you? 

I think that will be the most challenging part of this program will be having students assess the work of others. 

EXTEND - Since I have never taught in an IB school, I would like to extend my learning of the learner profiles and how they can be incorporated throughout the school day. I also would like to learn more about the culminating project (PYP exhibition) and what is entailed with that.

CHALLENGING - I am interested to learn more about the “approaches to teaching” and how I can develop those approaches in conjunction with my own established teaching style and practices.

1: Language supports relationship-building and the negotiation of meaning. Through language, students communicate their ideas and understandings to the local and wider learning community using multiple modes of expression.

EXTEND:  As a project maybe we could have a classroom garden?  Maybe plant more trees for the environment?
