These vastly different subjects have provided me with a variety of skills as a consequence of the teaching styles in each module. From philosophical reading essays to statistic MCQ's, to marketing communication reports, I have experienced Exeter teaching to the fullest. This puts me in the perfect position to comment on teaching, and how to support the student body's learning journey. The difference a dedicated teacher makes is immense.

I have held 3 different roles in the Raise and Give Society. I was a FREP in 2018, President in 2020 and I have held my position as Challenges Executive since mid 2019. This experience has allowed me to connect with Exeter students and wider community. Being Challenge's Executive is a high pressure role, however I have learnt key skills such as time management, online and in-person sales, how to organise a successful event, and managing a team of 90 students.

I went to Uganda for one month to partake in a Gorilla Trek and to build a playground for a primary school. When on the playground project, all volunteers led creative learning schemes to engage the children in a different type of learning. Play is a key learning tool in education, and encourages creativity and innovation. The importance of how information is given to students was highlighted by this experience.

My taste for teaching continued into 2019 when I went to Fiji for 5 weeks to teach Mathematics and English to primary school children. This experience taught me how individuals learn in different ways. The Digital Learning Assistant role requires the experience and awareness of the learning process to provide the necessary tools all students need to learn.

Consequently, I have a high level of awareness on how to perform strongly in an organisation. My own learning, my colleagues learning, and the reputation of Exeter are extremely important to me. I believe I will supply the necessary enthusiasm and knowledge to support management in creating a new learning environment for Exeter students.
