I'm really looking forward to this module as my pre lecturing life was as a policy officer at UK Music where I di look at music education policy particularly supporting campaigns to get better secondary music education. I have also done a lot of political work in the music industry, currently working with the MU representing them on the TUC Young Workers forum and have even run for election a few times (very unsuccessfully!). It feels a stark time to start this module with 50% of HE funding cuts proposed for the arts! MDX in tandem with 3 other universities services the HE element of the programme.
