If we were to see these times not as disruption, but as a possibility to create a new story going forward, one of flourishing and care for everyone. Then how might we reimagine what living a “good life” means? And how might we create it now? We surely all want a good life, but what does that really mean to you?

Our weekly reflection series is about taking a journey, together with you, on some of the challenging questions we face in creating a sustainable society. It’s about engaging in conversation, sharing ideas and co-creating new narratives for the future.

It means surrounding myself with people who I adore, who care and challenge me with meaningful conversations. It invariably also means creating things, always learning, being respectful, sharing and caring.

I think that the meaning of what a good life is changes along with ones growing perspective. Right now for me, especially within the context of what is effecting humankind on a global scale, is the ability to let go. Whether it be in trying to figure out what my goals are or what I need to do with my life. The more and more I surrender to the intelligence of the universe and love, the more I connect to the flow, and in those brief moments I get a glimpse of the power in the simplicity to just feel and experience reality in a way that enables space for gratitude and compassion, starting with myself. Also, I think the good life entails a sense of responsibility in the fact that I always have a choice in how I respond, even when I think that I don’t. Above all, being willing to adapt to what ever presents itself and becoming conscious in connecting the dots so that we can transcend into higher states of being.

A good life is what you make of it. For me it is to give and to love unconditionally. It is about doing things without regrets and learning from the bad situations. It is about forming real relationships. It’s about acceptance and letting go. It’s being brave when you don’t know how to be brave. It’s about taking the leap and having faith that there will be something to catch you. Each day comes with new opportunities and challenges, and that is exciting. We can choose who and what we want to be. Be real, love with your whole heart and take on the adventure called life.
