Malaysia has been partnered with Shell in fuelling for over 125 years. Shell played a really important role in promoting the growth of economy in Malaysia whereas Malaysia too had played a significant role in Shell Berhad’s progress.<br><br>        Today, Shell still maintains a strong presence in Malaysia. Shell helped in the development of Malaysia’s oil and gas industry and made a huge contribution to its growth by discovering Malaysia’s first oil onshore, then took the industry offshore and technically challenging depths of deepwater to search for new resources. <br><br>         Besides, Shell’s strong retail network fuels the journeys of millions of Malaysian motorists every day. In fact, Shell is still able to offer one of the most differentiated fuel and lubricant products, some of which were pioneered right here in the country.<br><br>        Shell is also one of the top employers in Malaysia with thousands employees in their upstream, midstream and downstream businesses, as well as in their service and support functions.</div>]]></description>

Examples of flexible working arrangement is giving career break to employees which allows employee to take leave of absence for 3 months to 3 years without salary if they fulfill the terms and conditions which is returning to work for Shell in a clear intent. Besides that, flexible working time is provided to employees by following the work hours that stated in the contract of employment that make Shell’s employees feel comfortable and convenient.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The next level of needs according to the theory is safety as a safety workplace is a must to keep employees heart and allow employees to work without any hesitation. However, Shell’s employees often work in demanding roles and extreme environment which is very dangerous as petrol is a flammable product. Thus, Shell has come out with “Our 12 Life-Saving Rules” such as "protect yourself against a fall when working at height" and "do not smoke outside designed smoking area" for their employees and all the employees and contractors must follow the rules while working to ensure their safety. This rule has successfully achieved a notable reduction in fatalities and injuries. Shell even run campaigns regularly to remind their employees and contractors regarding to the rules set. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>From the theory, social needs is the third level of needs. Social needs are the acceptance and belongingness of employees towards their company, Shell. Shell did really great in providing belongingness to the employees as the senior leaders of employees tends to build good relationship and communication with employees, thus they will have a deeper understanding of employee’s conditions from frequent communication. Leaders will also be able to understand and obtain feedbacks from their employees. The two categories are the Internal Esteem Needs and External Esteem Needs. Internal Esteem Needs is the self-bringing esteems needs such as self-respect and achievements. Shell provides workplace environment where their employees can apply and develop their talents and skills especially the diverse range of colleagues’ environment. Shell’s employees can find self-respect to themselves in working and achieve their own aims. For the External Esteem Needs, it is the given esteem needs such as status, recognition and attention. Shell is organizing comprehensive financial rewards and benefits annually to boost the external esteem needs of their employees. The rewards and benefits are basically based on their performance. Shell provides plenty of training and development opportunities to their employees including leadership training course. On top of that, Shell also provides a programme, Shell GameChanger that can prove employee's’ concept works effectively and efficiency. This programme provides  Shell’s employees financial and technical supports and provide spaces to employees to demonstrate their ideas and turn them into reality.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>&nbsp; </strong>Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), which is one of the teams in Shell.HSSE plays a vital role in Shell which is formed by talented professionals diverse in a wide range in several aspects such as Technical Safety Engineer and Real Estate HSE Advisor to operating HSSE team. HSSE is the driving force behind Shell’s commitment to improve its sustainability and environmental awareness. All employees in the HSSE are interdependent. They share the same goals in ensuring safety of Shell in every aspects while considering the impact to the environment and also shapes Shell to a more responsible global energy future. Every employee has to do their own parts and share their work products in order to achieve their goals. The diversity of team members of HSSE make the team perform better in every aspects and always having positive synergy and full of passion to their works to achieve their same aims and goals.&nbsp; 🏃 💃&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Other than that, Human Resource team in Shell also acts as an important team to Shell. Human Resources team members are formed complementary from every aspects and they are interdependent to each other. Human Resource team shares the same aim which is to ensure all employees perform their duties to achieve the goals of the company. However, Human Resource are divided into a few sections with different responsibilities which is hiring, compensating, providing training and developments and others. Thus, they still share the same work product and still leads to their aim. Human Resources team also have a diverse discipline which provides supports to change management; defining and delivering team development programme. They also promotes diversity and inclusiveness throughout the wider Shell community. Besides, Human Resources team also deals with complex business-related issues to make the workforce in Shell smoothly.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
