Bouldering

Bouldering is climbing without ropes, but you don't go too high. The hardness scoring is with V0 being the easiest and the hardest being V17, which only one person has ever completed. I, personally, am proud to say that I can complete most V1s and a few V2s. Most of the time you have chalk on your hands for better grip. Example of bouldering (link used: https://images.app.goo.gl/LBMrhqf6G4wiSeVc7: )

Top Rope

This is when you have a rope attached to you in a figure 8 knot. The scoring system is the easiest being 5.0 and the hardest being 5.15. The hardest route I have ever completed was a 5.11 and the average climber is 5.11. You also usually put chalk on your hands so your hands don't get slippery and sweaty. In top rope you need a belayer, or someone to tighten the rope as you go up so that if you fall you don't fall far.

The video is of my older brother (Kenny) climbing.

Lead Climb/Sport Climb

Lead climbing/Sport Climbing is by far the most complicated. It's where the rope isn't connected until the first hook, and when you get there you have to hook the rope onto it. If you fall between hooks you have to restart from where the last hook was, almost like a checkpoint. Other than that it's very similar to top rope.

This is another video of my older brother climbing.
