I Took My Doggy For a Walk by Kenn Nesbitt

I chose this poem because we sometimes take our dogs for a walk too, only, we don't get busted up like the girl in this poem. We usually walk around the neighborhood.

I think this poem is upbeat and fast pace because of the mood it put me in. The reader can tell this poem is a humorus form poem because of the joke in lines 15 and 16, ''I took my doggy for a walk, he took me for a drag.''

My Dog Likes to Dig by Kenn Nesbitt

I chose this poem because we once had a dog that was paranoid so he dug a whole lot in the back yard. When he left, there were spots around our back porch where we couldn't even see the wall because of all the dirt he kicked up.

The reader can tell that the poem is written in humorus form because the poem has a funny joke at the end being ''Instead I just have this hot diggity dog''
Line ten has a hiperbole which is ''He's sizzling, he's scorching, he's starting to steam'' because dogs cant really get burned or start to steam by digging.

I chose this poem because I have a ton of batteries in my house.

The reader can tell this poem is humorus because the poet spilled the beans in a funny way by saying, ''I probably should warn you, though, these batteries are dead.'' The rhyme pattern is 1, 2, 3, 2 or A B C B.
