thinking and looking into the future i dont have a clear idea of what i would like to do starting a career. i have looked into university courses in the London fashion retail academy like buying, visual merchandising and fashion promotion. there were so many curses on offer when i was looking each with a different length of course which varied from 2-3 months to 2 years possibly. there were so many to choose from but they require a level 3 deploma in something art and design related. personallly i would like to leave education and start the world of work.

also i am very interested in art and design so i wouldnt mind doing a year of that at college to gain an extra qualification. southend and colchester college offer good facilitties for more creative subjects like art and fashion so i could look further into that.

although mainly, i have been onto websites looking into fashion internships and apprenticeships which require at least one year on a fashion related course like what i am doing now. because most are based in london it would cost to travel there so most were just offering to cover expenses rather than pay a wage but some were payed at the basic rate of £5- 6 an hour with a job like that i would have to start from the bottom and work my way up. this iterests me more than continuing at a university. i would like to gain experience

if i chose to go to university, after i have finished how ever long the course is that i would have chosen is then i will need to find a job which n doubt will be minimum pay and i will need to work my way up. i know that after university i will be more qualified so could stand a better chance of getting a job where i want to be but alsoin the fashion industry it is all about who yo know rather than what you know. so being friendly to everyone i meet might get me somewhere.

i feel like going straight into a job or internship after college would be a good idea to build my confidence and get me started at a young age to eventually work my way up into higher pay the older i get and the more i need the money in life.

i work part time at the moment in retail at H&M and i used to work in a shop selling all kinds of big brands like maison scotch, markus lupfer and DVF which my uncle owned so it is good to have as experience and contacts

being completely honest i dont want to plan my life out as i would like to enjoy things as they come. im not sure if i will jump straight into work because i am really interested in seeing the world. i dont even know if i want to stay in england at all so really i could be broadening where i look for work in another part of the world. id like to get as much from life as possible rather than diving heads first into a career.

i feel that social media is a great platform for new clothing brands or businesses and promoting them. Almost everyone from around the world has access to it and its very popular now days. the social media acounts that i have and use are twitter, facebook, snaphat, and instagram. instagram is my favourite because i keep updated with fashion bloggers and clothing brands when they have offers gong on and when they bring out new collections. social media is growing and growing and is so good to get yourself out there and know. taking interesting pictures and talking about interesting subjects is how to get known. it is such a good way to promote.

blogging is another platform that has become so popular and seems to be something that everyone is interested in. i love the idea of blogging but personally i would want to just use images to show what i want. id love to have a fashion blog of what i wear every day even though my clothes at the moment are quite boring because i keep spending my money leaving me with nothing left for clothes i love that i follow all theses fashion bloggers like Chloe Miles and Alicia Roddy. i love these 2 blogs and both of their styles. what i love about blogging is that its inspiring and weather its a new outfit or a new make up look, most tell us where to get the look so again it can be a form of promotion. i know hat clothing brands and beauty brands do work with well known bloggers and send them free products to test, review and promote.

you-tube has become big now as well with stars like zoella who now earn loads from blogging their life away. she has such a huge following and sets a good example as a role model to young girls who are exposed to social media so much these days. i feel that bloggers set a positive slant on what social media should be used for rather than the issues that can be caused from it.

Blogging is a good platform for the fashion industry.
