Before My Journey in Education

Before I attended the University of Arkansas, I went to high school at Bentonville High School. There I had the opportunity to intern my senior year as the assistant coach for the freshman volleyball team. I had played varsity volleyball at Bentonville High School for three years and was more than excited to get to experience what the sport was like on the coaching side. Interning as the freshman teams assistant coach was very fun and an amazing learning experience! I got to help create practice plans and coach alongside the head coach during games. I became very close with the girls on the team and a role model for them as well. This experience encouraged me to look more into becoming a teacher and a mentor for younger kids!

During My Journey in Education

I am currently a student at the University of Arkansas, where I am majoring in Elementary Education. I first started off my journey at the university majoring in Speech Pathology however I always dreamt of becoming a teacher. Therefore I changed my major in the spring semester of my freshman year! I am currently on track to graduate in the spring of 2028 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I plan on applying to the College of Education here at the University of Arkansas this fall. I am extremely excited for what's to come as I learn more about myself and who I am as a future educator!

After My Journey in Education

Once I graduate from the University of Arkansas, I plan on teaching kindergarten or first grade! My goal as an educator is to create a positive and encouraging environment for my students. My number one priority will be to make them feel safe and supported as they begin to expand their minds and thirst for knowledge. I want my students to be excited about coming to school and not forced to, I hope to do this by making learning fun and exciting through group activities and adventurous lesson plans.
