The other factor is that people say that the victim asked for it, however, there are cases of 2 year old children being victims. it is not possible for innocent toddlers to ask for a crime as disgusting as this. it breaks my heart to see that families of victims force them to get married to the rapist, in order to avoid embarrassment and shame to the family that may come.

The laws have been made in a way that they are favouring Hindus instead of being equal for all religions and backgrounds. There are multiple examples of such mistreatment of minority religions. The CAA would be a perfect example. It is a law made to benefit every religion other than Islam. The same occurred with Love Jihad and the Ram Mandir too. In these, the law-makers and leaders of our country chose to honour the wishes of the majority religion - Hinduism - instead of doing something that would be beneficial to all. I find it horrifying that our nation's government will go to such lengths solely based on a person's religion and the fact that no one is safe here just adds to my fear 

Unfortunately, this is a problem that has existed for years and is impossible to solve overnight. It is not a standalone issue, it is one of many struggles for equality and justice. The only solution I can think of is to stand with those who are suffering and use the platform we have to make others aware. With our generation, people have become far more understanding of such problems. Changing the perspectives of older people is far more difficult and this is why it is important that the people who understand the problems take steps to stand in solidarity with those who are suffering. It is also essential that we fight the issue without using violence because that is counter-productive and helps no one. Also, it is vital that we report any social media content that spreads Islamophobia because this aids the war against people. There are quite a few solutions and since different parts of the world are at different stages of acceptance but one thing everyone can do is EDUCATE. I think the only solution for this is education at the root level, since a very young age I think everyone should be taught respect in school and parents should teach their children how to see everyone as equal and not see women as 'objects' and they shouldn't teach them stereotypical things like boys shouldn't cry and girls should stay in the kitchen, this is wrong. I think instead of telling girls to dress appropriately, boys should be told not to rape and should be taught to respect women. I think forming a journalism body that oversees media and actually publishes fact checked articles needs to be established so citizens have access to non-biased news sources. Most people believe that all the laws are meant to protect the people and prevent prejudicial circumstances but this isn't true. 

Across India, there are several laws that explicitly discriminate based on sex. Section 375 and 376 (Rape and punishment for rape) are woman centric and provide little protection for men against females. Act number 13 of 2013 still does not accept forceful sexual acts by a man with his own wife as rape. These laws are absolutely unfair and are appalling according to me. Awareness to stop this prejudice could be spread by educating children both male and female. They should be educated about these laws and all the corruption in India so that they understand the brutal reality. I think the most prominent way to solve this issue is start with the basics. For example women's pay in India  according to the MSI published in March 2019, women in the country earn 19% less than men. The survey revealed that the median gross hourly salary for men in India in 2018 was ₹242.49, while ₹196.3 for women. We can begin with things like this that promote gender inequality in the workplace. Another way can be spreading more awareness about the situation, it might take some time but it will work. The more awareness people bring the more equality will come its way. One possible solution to this problem is easy divorce. India is a very cultural place where everything is about mentality and what 'society will think'.
If divorce is made easier then maybe less people will be afraid to go through with it. 
If the fees for lawyers or the number of pro bono cases they are required to do, more women might be able to step up.
Most importantly, people need to know that this behaviour is wrong, and that equality ad mutual respect is and should be the biggest part of a marriage.

These questions are used to shift the focus to the victim, while the criminal, is often let go. 

As females, we are the ones who are taught to wear 'appropriate' clothing, to not go out late in the evening, instead of teaching men respect and safety. The patriarchy internalises authority in men which seems to make it alright for them to treat women as inferior and do what they want with them. One of the best ways to combat these cases, is compulsory sex education. Because when people appear oblivious to the issues prevalent around them, they are not able to do anything to solve them. 

I believe that solutions to an issue like this are innumerable but they may not all be workable or practical. A workable solution towards eradicating this issue is making education gender sensitive and making it available for everyone. If everyone is educated in their homes and their schools about issues like these, they would be more sensitive around each other. This would result in less incidents of gender based abuse because once people understand how this issue directly affects them, it would lead to a decline in inequality.
