Holmes was at home with his friend Watson. The servant, Mrs. Hudson, came into the room with Helen Stoner. Helen  asked help to Sherlock. She said she didn't have any money but she could pay in six weeks.
Helen told Sherlock about her stepfather. Sherlock told the story about the stepfather family.The stepfather went to India when he came back,he brought two animals, a cheetah and a baboon. Nobody wanted to visit them.
The stepfather was always angry and unhappy. People were afraid of  him. In the house were only Helen and her stepfather.
Helen's sister died 2 years and 2 weeks before her wedding. So Helen was alone and sad. Sherlock wanted Helen to tell more her sister, Julia. (Written by AACI Barracas' students)

That night was very strange. Julia couldn't sleep well because her stepfather was in his room and he had his indian incense. So, Julia could smell the incense and she didn't like it. Suddenly Julia shouted and cried " it's the speckled band ". Hellen call her stepfather. Then, the doctor came but Julia died. The police didn't find any mark in her body. 
Sherlock wanted to help Hellen. So he was going to London to see the house.

The story started in 1883, in London at 221B Baker Street. Helen was of about 30 years old and she looked older than her years. When Helen went to Holme s house, she went to ask for help because she was afraid of Julia's death. Julia died two weeks before her wedding.

Helen told her story to Sherlock. He remembered a story when her stepfather went to prison because he killed a servant in India…

When Dr Roylott went back to England he changed. After that he was unhappy and angry. When he came back he brought animals from India and put in the garden. There were gypsies in the garden, too, so nobody wanted to visit them.

It was Dr Roylott. He was very angry because they were talking about him.
Dr Roylott bent the metal poker in his hands because he was very angry. Holmes discovered the wife's will. it was about 750 pounds, 250 for Julia and 250 to Helen.
Holmes and Watson went to Waterloo to see Helen's house. Holmes remembered that Helen was afeaid of her stepfather.

          The two men could see a big old house.  Holmes and Watson went to Helen's house, Helen was happy to see them. Holmes looked carefully through Helen's window. the couple of detectives entered to Julia's bedroom. Holmes realized the bell-rope didn't go anywhere. They also realized that the ventilator was connected with Dr. Roylott's bedroom. In Roylott's bedroom there was a safe box which was locked. Apparently there were Roylott's papers. Roylott was coming to the house. Sherlock asked Helen to light a lamp and put it in the window when Roylott went to bed.
           Finally, Holmes and Watson went to a village Inn.

They were afraid because Julia smelled incenses and Helen heard a metallic noise.
Julia cried, shouted "the band! the speckled band!" and she died. 
After Julia's death strange things happened to Helen. She asked Sherock to visit her house.

He asked Holmes about Helen because he thought her stepdaughter had said something bad about him. Holmes asked Dr. Roylott to leave. After that Holmes found the wife`s will and it said if her daughters marry, Roylott had to give money for her marry. Then Watson and Sherlock went by trap to stoke Moran.
