If an alien civilization were to observe and study our planet from an objective perspective, there is no doubt that among the millions of species on Earth, human beings stand out. This species sits on top of the food chain and has extended its habitats to the entire planet. In recent centuries, human have experienced an explosion of technological, societal, and artistic advancements. It’s remarkable how far we’ve come in what is a short period of time from an evolutionary perspective. One can’t help but wonder: how did our species get so far?  Not only have we survived, we have also seen intellectual and technological progress beyond any other form of life. What looked so obvious in the absence of adequate information transported me into another realm of inquiry. Even as I post this write up, I continue to explore the attributes of ‘Human Uniqueness’, ‘The changing world of artificial intelligence’ and ‘the amazing characteristics of animals’. There were many videos and articles I read to direct my inquiry and guide me in this process. At the end of the write up you will find some video links which have been instrumental in guiding my thoughts in the write up.
