Two thoughts. I personally would have liked some more visuals (pictures or videos) just to break up all the text. The survey is a bit long, so I might suggest that you have the students do a section or two, then stop and discuss, continue on to the next two sections, discuss, etc. Then add up the grand total and have another discussion. Maybe you can use pictures in your power-points and less words - fresh from summer vacation, these kids don't want to read :-)
