My Family!

This is my family! They are some of the most supportive and caring people I know. My mom works for UAMS and my dad works for university housing. My two sisters are both younger than me. One is a freshman in college and the other is a sophomore in high school. We all love exploring Arkansas together and going on mini adventures everywhere! Our mini adventures can be to a hiking trail, a new city, or an event that is happening that we haven't been to before, but it is always fun and exciting! We discover a lot of fun and awesome things this way, such as the Shire Fest in West Fork or the yearly pancake breakfast at the Wedington Fire Department.

Life in College and Work!

I am a sophomore at the University of Arkansas! I am in the process of earning my degree in Social Studies Education with a minor in German! While at the university, I am working for the Creative Community in Adohi Hall. I also participated in one year of the Razorback Marching Band.

The Creative Community is a space where anyone can come and create things with anything that we have. We have 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing machines, cricuts, and so much more! I love this job because it lets me grow my creative skills and learn new machines!

My job is very special to me! I have made great friends and have learned useful skills! It gives me a chance to learn skills such as leadership, communication, creativity, and much more!

Each week I must lead a workshop where I teach people about a certain creative thing! This semester, my workshop is based on journaling and collaging. I show people how to collage and how to use different materials in their work, while also letting anyone who joins have a chance to relax and just write.

This job has taught me many things, and I am thankful for every bit of it!

I hope to bring a love for learning and a love for history into my future classroom! History is my passion, and I hope to show future students that history can be full of surprises and interesting facts! I also hope to create a space that fosters creativity! Creativity can be used everywhere, and I hope to show that to my future students.
