-See: the action takes place in a poor room, this because in the background we can see stairs, some furnishing and  an open window. In the foreground we can see an old school desk . In the walls there are no decorations or billboards. There are not enough desks for everyone infact children are sitting around the table on the left of the picture. In the center of the picture the teacher is hitting a boy, in the right corner there's a boy standing lonely maybe in punishment.
-Think:  The room is not much illuminated so it might be winter. children might be in elementary school age and the teacher is an old man that has the authority; he seems very strict so children are asking for to stop those violences, the teacher instead is maybe asking for more attention or discipline. This probably is the teacher's house because it seems a basement because of the presence of the stairs.
-Wonder:I wonder why some children are impassive to violence so they just look the scene maybe because they don't care about it, why some cover their face with books because are scared and why two of them are laughing or are amused by the scene. I wonder what the punished boy have done and why he seems to be resigned so let himself be punished. Maybe he cheated or he wasn't paying attention to the lesson. The teacher seems to be very angry and comes down hard on students with corporal punishment so I wonder if that day he was very angry and why. I wonder if the old man has children or if one of his students is his child; if that room is a basement, if that window looks out on the street and if it is half covered because the room is below the street level.

-See: In this picture we can see the statue of the virgin Mary on the right and the Jesus's cross on the left. The class is composed only by girls of different ages. The room is well illuminated and girls are wearing light clothes so it might be spring. The room is decorated by a blackboard and some geographical maps. There are three punished girls, one is behind the teacher's desk, one is kneeling near the teacher with a paper on her back and another one is crying while a girl is putting on her head a donkey hat. Two of the other girls are knitting and another one behind the teacher is interested in the punished girls.
-Think: Due to the presence of religious signs this school probably is a religious school. I think that the characters are in a multiclass  because some girls are younger than others. The people of authority is the young teacher that is maybe about 20 years old. The level of authority is bigger because of the elevated teacher's desk.
-Wonder: I wonder why some children are indifferent to the situation, why some are looking the girls being punished maybe because they're interested by the situation, why a little baby is sleeping on the desk and if she is teacher's child. I wonder if punished girls are feeling umiliated so are crying. I wonder if the girl who is pitting the donkey hat on her friend is satisfacted by the situation and if the kneeling girl is feeling pain in her knees. I wonder if punished girls have done something very bad or if the teacher is only imposing her authority. I wonder that this might be a private school, inflexible, insensitive about children, with strict rules.

-See: The action takes place in a classroom where children are wearing uniforms and girls are divided from boys.Their posture is rigid infact they hide their hands behind their back and their attitude is  very disciplinate and serious. We can see that the teacher is behind them and that children in the foreground are more in the light than children in the background. They're all watching the camera without show a smile..
-Think: This picture is not too old because is a black and white photo. The authority is the teacher that doesn't seems very strict because she seems a sweet woman. This is the only picture which doesn't show any scene of punishment.
-Wonder: I wonder if children are bored by the lesson or if they're very interested in it so if they want to learn new things. If the teacher is helpful or strict but a purpose or if she a bad teacher. I wonder if someone wanted to smile at the cameraman and how the cameraman is feeling. If this is a math lesson because there are numbered cubes on tables. I wonder if in fron of children there is another blackboard, if girls are separated by boys, maybe to avoid any argument. -See: the action take place probably in an elementary Victorian school.
The room is not much illuminated so i think that maybe is winter and there aren't enough desks for evreybody.
The children seem scared and worried by the corporal education that is getting the boy sitting.
The setting looks poor and narrow.

-Think: I think that the children are eight or maybe ten years old so infact they are attending an elementary school. 
The people of authority is certainly the teacher who wants attention and discipline from his students that,instead,are asking for pity.

-Wonder: some of children are impassive from the violence scene, other are scared infact they cover their faces with books. Maybe this is a poor school infact there aren't enough chairs for all students and i think that is not a real room to studying. The teacher seems angry and very strict and he is punishing the boy with a corporal punishment.
I wonder if the strict teacher is the father of the little boy standing,if the girl on the left is reading a book or she is covering her face with it cause she is scared.
Probably the boy who is writing on the table is not impassive for the corporal punishment that his classmate is getting because they are not friends.
I wonder if this class is on the ground floor of the teacher's house because there are stairs.
Maybe the sleeping boy is getting a punishment because he had a bad behaviour or he copied during a test.

-See: Probably in this picture we are speaking about a catholic school only for girls because on the right of room we can see the virgin mary , on the lef the room there is the Jesus's cross and the class is composed only by girls.
the class is very illuminated, by the windows passes a lot of light from outside so i think that maybe is spring.
We can find two blackboards and two geographical maps.
There are three punished girl: one is sitting behind the teacher's desk, one is kneeiling near the teacher with a piece of paper on her back, and one is wearing a honkey hat.

-Think: I think that the characters are different from each other because,for example, there many girls that seem younger than other girls.
The people of authority is the teacher.

-Wonder: some girls are impassive and others are looking the poor girls being punished.
There is a little girl who is sleeping on the desk.
The setting is quiet and is clear that in that school there are lots rules.
I wonder if, the little girl, who is sleeping on the desk, is tired because she woke up early, cause she does not leave near the school or because she did not sleep well during the night.
I ask myself if the girl who is knitting, has never hurt herself.
Maybe the teacher is nervous cause she had a bad morning or she had a fight with her husband.
