What liked about this class was exploring different realms of folklore and myths, from Tolkien to the comic book hero. My favorite project was the hero one where we explained why a certain character is hero-material. The readings I most liked were of the Norse Mythology, the Grimm Brother's tales, and I loved the video about the Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. The ones I least liked was Snow White because she, no offense, was completely naive and oblivious. What I would keep next year for the class is the Hero Project and the Arthurian legend. To be honest I don't think there is anything to change about the class. What I loved overall what that I always looked forward to having this class.

I like reading multiple stories, myths, and folklore. What I liked most about the class was the superhero project we did. I also like creating my own legend for the final project. I like unit 5. I didn't like studying the simple fairytales as much as tolkien or norse. I wouldn't change much.

What I liked most about the class was reading myths and tales that may have been written a long time ago and connecting them to a modern world. I wish there was some material on Greek or Roman mythology but I don't know what it might replace if it was put in. The only project I didn't like was the drawing of Yggdrasil but that is mostly because I am not that great of an artist.

I loved all of the creative parts of the class and all of our discussions. My favorite projects were the creating your own fairy-tale and the generally open-ended projects. I loved all of the Norse mythology, the fairy-tales, and the folk-tales. I disliked everything having to do with superheros. I would keep the discussions and the creativity. I would change the rigidity of writing assignments and huge projects. Also, not a huge fan of the super hero things.

I really enjoyed reading the many different types of myths and fairy tales. I loved reading the fables from Unit 5. I wasn't a big fan of the superhero unit but I can tell that many other people enjoyed it. I would keep the in class discussions but maybe give less discussion board assignments.

I liked getting to read all the different types of stories and myths. The project that I had enjoyed doing was the superhero project. The things that I would keep about the class next year is the discussions that we would have in class. I had really enjoyed this class.

I really enjoyed this class. I liked reading the fables espcially because I had not read a lot of them. I would have liked instead of a Lord of the Rings section, maybe a Egyptian or a Greek Section. I love Lord of the Rings but I was not a fan of the Simarillion. All in all I enjoyed the class. I hope another group gets to have fun as well

My favorite parts of the class were the creative portions like writing our own fairy tale, drawing the nine realms, and the modern hero project i thoroughly enjoyed. I think the class could benefit from maybe analyzing a few excerpts from comics though i don't know how you go about doing that. It may also be good to learn about the authors of the versions of the stories we are reading as knowing about the author can help understand the work better, like what we did with J.R.R. Tolkien

I liked the fables with a good moral most. I really hope we could have touched on Greek and roman mythology. I liked how there was no book so that we were not tied down and could read pretty much any story online so that we can change it up. I would keep the way we watched videos to supplement our stories as well as instead of having reading we could watch a video and really get to see what the author was trying to convey. Overall I had fun this year I hope more Chaminade students enroll next year.

I really enjoyed this class. I found all of the stories interesting, learning different things from all around the world during different periods of history. The videos were always fun to watch. I would suggest taking two or so classes during each unit to watch a movie from one of the stories. For example, maybe watch one of the King Arthur movies or Thor or something like that. I found the class kind of hard for an elective too. I have a B in the class and I thought this class would be an easy A to achieve, because I enjoyed mythology and other stuff.

I liked how we learned about the different fables and how they have changed the world with their messages. My favorite project was the superhero project because I studied my favorite heroes. I liked the fairy tales and fable readings the most. I didn't not like a story, and I liked all of them. I would keep the small feel of the class, because we connected quickly. I would actually change the length of the essays, because they were way too long.

I liked that we got to learn about how myths and fables impact a whole culture and the importance of them today. The creative parts of this class were challenging for me.

I took this class thinking that it would be about Greek Mythology and what not. But we did not do that and some of topics were interesting like the Norse and King Arthur, but the Lord of the Rings was not fun and just way to confusing, the superhero topic was interesting but to open. If anything to do with superheros is get in to depth of the Marvel movies and comics and see what is actually happening in the movies like explain them and how they tie together. The fables were good as well but again to open. The creative part was good the first time but it got old and it was like doing almost the same thing again but with a different theme. My structure in the topics were left too open.
