Igneous rocks are rocks that are formed when hot molten rock crystallizes and solidifies. The formation of an extrusive igneous rock differs from that of an intrusive one is that the intrusive forms from magma that cools slowly beneath the earths surface while the extrusive forms from magma erupting into the earth surface, after which it cools quickly thanks to the exposure outside.

The sedimentary rock is formed by the gathering of sediment that includes rocks, minerals, and other organic materials. There are around 3 types of sedimentary rock which are the clastic, organic, and chemical. All 3 have a common trend of being made up of various material, which gives them the name sedimentary. For contrast, we can start by talking about the Clastic sedimentary rock, which is composed of fragments of other rocks and minerals. The organic sedimentary rock is composed of organic materials like plant debris. Finally the chemical sedimentary rocks are made up of minerals that are precipitated from a solution. all are made up of different objects of sorts while also having different content making it up.

Metamorphic rocks are rocks that are shed from an existing rock into a new rock thanks to heat, pressure, and other chemical agents. There are two types of metamorphic rocks, which are the foliated and non-foliated metamorphic rocks. The foliated rocks have a layered appearance. Examples of foliated rocks can be slate and schist. The non-foliated metamorphic rocks lack an appearances such as a layered or banded appearance. Examples of a non-foliated metamorphic rock can be marble and quartzite.
