The portrait; O retrato

The portrait I made had the objective of being direct and simple, without many attractions that would make it too extravagant. To draw him I only used the 6-B pencil and i drawed his picture in the middle of the paper. To paint him I used colored pencils: skin color, light pink for the mouth and brown for eyes and hair. And navy blue paint for his shirt. The background of the drawing is white, because as I said at the beginning, the objective of the drawing is to be simple and direct, thus not having a very concrete meaning, just focusing on the image and essence of the Olympic athlete. 

O retrato que eu fiz tinha o objetivo de ser direto e simples, sem muitos atrativos que o deixassem muito extravagante. Para desenha-lo eu utilizei somente o lápis 6-B(não tenho certeza se é assim que se chama), e para pinta-lo eu utilizei, lápis de cor, de cores: cor de pele, rosa claro para a boca e marrom para olhos e cabelo. E tinta azul marinho para a blusa dele. O fundo do desenho é branco, porque como eu disse no início, o objetivo do desenho é ser simples e direto, assim não tendo um significado muito concreto, apenas focando na imagem e a essência do atleta olímpico.

The landscape painting also had the same objective as the portrait, to bring simplicity, but at the same time bring the essence of a place that is in the country where the athlete was born in Cuba and that represents how he became enchanted with canoeing, the sport that he practices in the Olympics. The materials I used for the drawing were 6-B pencils and colored pencils for painting, yellow for the beach sand, green for the tree leaves, brown for the tree trunk and gray for the stones near the sea. Light blue paint was also used for the sea and navy blue paint for the sky.

A pintura da paisagem, também tinha o mesmo objetivo do retrato, trazer simplicidade, mas a o mesmo tempo trazer a essencia de um lugar que está no país em que o atleta nasceu e que representa a como ele se encantou com a canoagem, o esporte que ele pratica nas olimpíadas. Os materiais que utilizei para o desenho foi lápis 6-B e para pintura lapis de cor, de cores amarelo para a areia da praia, verde para as folhas da árvore, marrom para o tronco da árvore e cinza para a pedras próximas ao mar. Foi utilizado também tinta azul claro para o mar e tinta azul marinho para o céu.
