The ukulele is commonly associated with music from Hawaii where the name roughly translates as "jumping flea", perhaps because of the movement of the player's fingers. It is apart of the string family. There is a fret-board.There are tuning pegs. Tune it to the tune of my dog has fleas. The ukulele is hollow. Shorten strings and it makes the notes higher.
