Pete the Cat books provide children with valuable lessons such as friendship, the importance of education, being brave, and embracing differences. I particularly like this book because it can be both read and sung. It is a great tool in the classroom because it is very versatile. A teacher could use it as a song for Kindergarten, a lesson on sequence in 1st grade,or even a lesson on purpose in the 2nd grade.
