Song appears to precede and aid the development of language in young children, works on our short and long term memory, may strongly activate the repetition mechanism of the language acquisition device, is more motivating than other texts, relaxing, short, self-contained texts, recordings, and films that is easy to handle in a lesson.
Songs add a whole dimension to children’s classes, and make it easier for the children to remember words and patterns and natural chunks of language. Songs can add feeling and rhythm to language practice that ,might otherwise be flat, help children remember things more easily and draw children more deeply into a lesson.

Using toys provides learners with opportunities like exploring, imagining, observing, creating, expressing and, most importantly, engaging and playing. If mapped appropriately and strategically with concepts and subjects, the process from making toys to playing with them can also promote experiential learning. They also have the opportunities to imitate the language that they hear within their daily routines, and repeat and expand on that same language within play. Play also promotes social skill development: children learn how to take turns, solve problems and disagreements, and work together.
Toys

To introduce new toy vocabulary – ball, doll, computer, teddy bear, toy car, puppet.

To practise expressions: 'I like…', 'My favourite is…'

To introduce adjectives: big, small, round, square.

To introduce 'same' and 'different'

To introduce passive knowledge of vocabulary: bounce, cuddle, play.

Fairy tales help children to notice language areas such as past tenses, adjectives, comparatives and etc. Teachers could use passages from the fairy tale to point out grammatical features.
And fairytales can even be a useful tool for teaching advanced concepts, such as literary criticism. Asking students to consider a familiar tale from a feminist, post-colonial or Marxist perspective can provide an accessible introduction to applying theoretical lenses to texts.
Children learn from the characters in the stories and this helps them connect the situation with their own lives. The stories show children how to have a positive outlook amidst any anxieties, battles and problems in life. It also teaches them critical thinking skills. The world today can be seen as frightening place.

Kids can easily relate to fairy tales, and enacting the same by making sets out of coloured cardboard paper can help them memorize the stories as well as inculcate the morals imparted by them.

Vocabulary role-play is a strategy used to encourage learners to make connections among their past experiences, the content currently being studied, and vocabulary that is new or being used in an unfamiliar way. Students are introduced to new vocabulary and given an opportunity to discuss and use the vocabulary in context through role-playing.Additionally, role-play gives students a chance to be introduced to new vocabulary, and they will be provided to use the words in context role-play, which may assist in enriching the student's comprehension of the terms and the use of the words in the actual context .
Role playing helps students interact with one another and develop a sense of communication outside of the classroom. Take for example, a role playing lesson at a restaurant. Students are able to become waiters/waitresses and guests. They learn what it is like to serve others and to be served.

Classroom management. For beginning teachers like myself returning to teaching, the most difficult thing to master is classroom management.Develop effective working relationships with our studentsThe most important component of classroom management is relationships. The relationships with students start at the door when we shake their hand and greet them with a smile ( regardless of what misbehavios might have happened the day before)Those relationships are streghthened, for example, when I use a student's name and actively praise him or her. Those relationships are solidified when I
spend individual time with each
student to get to know them and then use that knowledge to create personal learning opportunities. Our students need to know that we don't expect them to instantly learn, that everyone has an individual process for learning our guiday, they will be successful in learning. This is more than just talking about our homework policy, late work, and absences. It is revealing to our students how we are going to create with them, highly effective, low-maintenance, learning team. For example, we discuss with our students that the true power of a strategy such as Cornell Notes is not dividing the paper in two parts. The benefit of that strategy comes from writing the questions on the left side of the paper while reviewing their notes, and then taking the time to summarize what they learned. We have a learning philosophy that guides our teaching style; teach it to our studentsClearly map out for our students what we do to help them learn so that when we do it; they know what we are doing and why, and they will be more willing to help.

In order to suit young learners reality best, assessment should concentrate on the development of language use, in performance assessments so to 'give the children opportunities to use the language for real purposes, and in real or realistic situations, and assess their attempts to do so successfully.
Firstly, the teacher can become more aware of areas that are causing problems for the students and then concentrate on them; secondly, the teacher can adjust their teaching to suit the needs and learning styles of the students; thirdly, the teacher will have a better understanding of what can be achieved in a class .Assessment should integrate grading, learning, and motivation for your students. Well-designed assessment methods provide valuable information about student learning. They tell us what students learned, how well they learned it, and where they struggled.

The main goal of a Froebel education is to teach the whole child in all developmental areas: socially, academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. There are four main components of the Froebellian Approach: motor expression, social participation, free self-expression and creativity.Froebel emphasized the use of songs, poetry and tales for stimulating the imagination of the child. In the Montessori system, there is no scope for songs, poetry and tales. Montessori altogether neglects the training of the imagination, for she does not look upon it as a part of a child's life.Froebel believed that play is the principle means of learning in early childhood. In play children construct their understanding of the world through direct experience with it.
