My sensations though my experiences, my sensation of smell was the fresh air around me being outside in the countryside with no smoke or bad smells. I could see fields of green grass, tall trees, birds flying and rain drops forming on branches. I could feel the wind; the cold air and little rain drops on my skin. 

My feelings in my experiences were relaxation. The sounds of the countryside with nothing other in natural environment. The sounds of stillness allowed me to focus on my experience rather than my other stressful thoughts. It allowed me to enjoy the moment and stop my mind from wandering.  

This experience did make me think back to my childhood, as an adult I sadly don’t spend as much time outdoors. Taking the time out of my day to spend time surrounded by the natural environment made me think about how I would spend all day outside during my childhood without a care in the world. I was just enjoying my freedom without limitations. 

My artefact is part of my experience as I allowed my mind to wander and focus on the music of the natural world, as well as showcasing what I could see though my walk though nature.  I ensured my artefact showed everything around me and that all sounds could be heard throughout the video. 

My creative response is a musical composition, I created though garage band. The musical composition is made from a keyboard and live loop of chill notes. I wanted my musical composition to showcase how relaxing I feel during my on-country visit, but also making it more uplifting as I enjoyed being able to spend time outdoors. My musical composition is a combination of relaxing and uplifting musical tones. 

My experience is something that could be used within Early childhood settings, allowing children to explore the world around them freely. As educators, we should provide them the opportunity to take time within their day to listen to the music and sounds of our world. This could also be used as a future practice, as well as, by allowing children make musical compositions based on what they heard and saw during their time outdoors. 

My Experience is linked to Dadirri. According to Ungunmerr-Baumann (2002), the indigenous culture has a word called Dadirri, which is when an individual takes the time to deeply listen and take part in quiet and still awareness. This connects with my experience as Dadirri doesn’t involve need words, just like my experience just walking though my natural environment taking in the sounds of nature and gaining a respect for nature. 

Another unit content, I felt connected to though my experience is a sense of wonder. According to Carson et al., (2017), her writing showcases how to keep that sense of awe about the natural world as if it was the first time we all saw the natural world. This links to my experience as imbedding myself within the natural world allowed me to think about how important the natural world was to me in my childhood. This experience helped me remember my love and appreciation for our world.  

Both these resources connect with each other, though both authors showing their love for the natural world and the importance of showcasing the natural world during childhood.
