Here you can experiment with printing onto all sorts of flat surfaces such as paper, wood and textiles using a variety of specialist water-based inks. Have a look at our How-to Guides.

The Screenprint Workshops at LCC include facilities for:}

^{Screenprint on paper, board and other hard surfaces.}
^{Screenprint and dye for textiles.}
^{Heat transfer processes onto textiles, including t-shirts, tote bags & bookcloth.}
^{Digital transfer process for ceramics.}

^{You will need to attend an induction in order to screenprint, which is bookable on ORB.
If you haven’t yet completed a screenprint induction, or need a quick solution, don’t worry, we have other image transfer processes available. Oki transfer, Dye Sublimation, heat transfer vinyl and digital ceramic transfers can all be used without an induction.}

3 steps to large format Inkjet positives

1. Check your artwork:

^{Is your artwork the right size? Inkjet film can be printed in A2 (420mm x 594mm) and A1 (594mm x 841mm) Adjust your document size to the right dimensions.}

^{Is your artwork 100% black? When you zoom in, if you can see any light/medium grey pixels or lines, your artwork may not work for screenprinting. Check it is in CMYK mode, with CMY set to 0, K(black) set to 100.}

^{Is your artwork the right file type? Please save it as a PDF.
Label your file with your name, Inkjet Positive, and size:

We have a badgemaker in the screenprint workshop that makes 45mm badges.

You will need to buy the components that you wish to use from here: e-badges

You can print your artwork on standard copier paper or any lightweight paper.

You don't need to book a session to make badges but it is best to arrange a time by email, to ensure the machine is available for use.
