• Act in accordance with Section 504 Rehabilitation Act 1973 regulations which prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities (Department of Health and Human Services, 2000, p.2).
• Follow the Individual with Disabilities Education Act 1975 guidelines which guarantees a free and appropriate public education (Individuals With Disabilities Education Act, 20 U.S.C. § 1400, 2004).
• Keep a note to all of the American with Disabilities Act 1990 directions which prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in schools (U.S. Department of Labor, 1990, p.1).
• Meet the individual needs of each and every student. 
• As a counselor, assist with any mental health difficulties.
• Assist each student to their full potential and be consistent.  
• Do not overstep any students civil and ethical rights. 
• Collaborate with parents, students, teachers, counselor, and anybody who has a connection with a 504 students to ensure that everyone is in accordance for the best of the students interest.
