So informative and moving. You can't read this and not learn something about yourself. Coates talks about racism in a way that is personal and universal. He really makes you think about how set up the world is. It really connects to the Dr. King quote (right).

This quote is so true to me. We are so used to believing what we see that we don't always look behind the scenes or read between the lines. Everything has a deeper cause, and we have to learn to trace it back to the source if we really want to know what's going on in our world.

This scene was so powerful to me. It really showed the power of words when it comes to racism. It also showed how education can really turn someone's life around. It definitely relates to Coates' book and King's quote
