Adult social workers work with adults over the age of 18 and they provide professional social work and occupational therapy to ensure that they are receiving the best care and quality of life. They also carry out assessments and reviews based on a person-centred care approach (PCC), involving the people necessary. For example, family, friends, etc. They must have professional and effective communication skills, be trustworthy, and be able to manage stressful or distressing situations. In relation to child protection, it means that parents/guardians/carers can offer better care for children, young adults and potentially other adults because they are being supported and guided through the process. They will offer information and advice tailored to ones situations and overall create a better life for everyone.

Role of an Adult Social Worker - Social Work Suffolk
