This theory also dates to the Middle Ages in the plague time. However, everyone knows the usual storyline of how vampires can't walk in the sun. Many people who had an unfamiliar physical or emotional illness were labeled as a vampire.

There is a disease called Porphyria which is an iron deficiency that causes people to be sensitive to sunlight and can cause severe blisters to the skin when it's been exposed to sunlight.

It is believed that some people think that Prince Charles is a vampire due to him having the same skin disease. He is also known to be related to Vlad the Impaler which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula.

 

I think this is connected to the red flag, red herring, and ancient wisdom. I think this is connected to red herring because they use him being related to a person that is an inspiration for a vampire movie; to distract you from the truth that like others, Prince Charles just has a skin disease and is not a vampire.

I also think it's connected to ancient wisdom because it brings us back to the Middle Ages where vampire lore started and grew.

They took unknown diseases and use vampires to explain what they couldn't understand (which is a logical reason for why people back then believed in vampires). It was also believed that some of the symptoms of Porphyria could be temporarily relieved by ingesting blood. When someone died, they use to stake their hearts to hope they never come back as a vampire or to make sure the vampire doesn't come back.

All this dates to a time when technology and understanding of medicine and the human body wasn't very popular or non-existence. Therefore, I believe it connects to ancient wisdom because it's an ancient fact that people truly believed these were real.

 Bram Stoker is an Irish author best known for his novel Dracula. Where the main character is a vampire, this novel is famous and has been created into movies over the years. Stoker based his vampire on a real-life person also to be involved in the vampire theories and lore’s.

 

Vlad The Impaler was also known as Vlad III or his Romanian Vlad Tepes. He was born in Transylvania in 1431. Vlad was known to impale his enemies on stakes in the ground and leave them to die. thus, also creating many theories and beliefs. 

According to ledged Vlad enjoyed dining amidst his dying victims and dipping his bread in their blood. This created the idea that he was a vampire or even a vampire slayer. 

 

 

I think this is confirmation bias. The reason for this belief is because they are taking in the idea of this person possibly being an inspiration for a book about vampires. Then to follow it with his history of impaling people with a stake and because they already believe in vampires, they ignore any local explanation or reasoning and point fingers at the fact that he is a vampire or someone who kills them.

Included in this photo is a 700-year-old skeleton that had been found with its teeth removed and an iron rod stabbed through its chest. Which was very common 700 years ago when the belief of vampires was largely known to be something that people believed in and were afraid of.

I think a reason for this belief can be seen as an emotional connection. I believe this is an emotional connection because people 700 years ago were afraid of vampires so they did these things to people after they died out of fear and they let their emotions cloud their judgment and the truth.

 

This conspiracy theory went on for quite a while until it was debunked. The truth behind it was that families would place these metal cages over their loved one's bodies to protect them from grave robbers that would often steal bodies and sell them.

I think this relates to the red flag Confusion of correlation with causation. I think this because people look at the cages especially when the vampire lore was a big thing, and they automatically believe both are related. Although one doesn't always mean the other.

These bones were found 30 years ago and were believed to be of a man named John Barber who has died 200 years ago, and the reason was believed to be possibly tuberculosis.

In New England, during the 1800s the way people dealt with those suspected to be a vampire. They would take his head and libs, rearrange them on top of his ribs in the shape of crossbones. This was to be believed to stop vampires from stalking them.

 

 

 

I think this is an Ancient Wisdom red flag because back in the 1800s they believed vampires were real. So, they listen to ancient knowledge rather than a logical reason for his death or reason for believing he was a vampire. I think this is also unexplained because as they can’t understand any logical reason for why they may think he's a vampire due to the time of this incident.

The video talks about the life of Donald Wayne Henrie or some will say the afterlife of him. He is known to believe he is a real-life vampire and even states he consumes human blood.

 He talks about being a part of a community of people who also believes they are a vampire.

He also explains that he doesn't attack people like movies and shows that would show vampires attacking innocent people. But he only takes of those who give him permission. 

 

He talks about how some vampires don't always have the same views of him and an example of this is in 195 a motorist came across women who seem to be handcuffed and in distress. It was later discovered the woman lost a significant amount of blood and was said to have a person take her blood and he was suspected to be a vampire.

 

 

I think this could be seen as agenticty because this person clearly believes he is a vampire. Vampires don't exist so really; he is human drinking blood. I think this could also be seen as confirmation bias because instead of seeing that this person is just a human drinking human it is 

 This video shows multiple CCTV cameras and videos catching some really weird things. The person who created this video took a bunch of these videos and made grouped them together stating this is proof vampires exist. However, some of these videos seem very fake and some may have even come from movies. This video was clearly created to try and trick people into believing that vampire, The paranormal, is real.

 

 

 

I think that this relates to Proof of verbosity. I think this because the author who made this video had the intentions of making a video with compelling "evidence" and "proof" those vampires exist but if you were to look closely at the actual evidence you can tell that all the evidence really isn't there to support the belief of vampires.

 This video talks about vampire lore in more depth. They bring up the Dracula storyline and look for a connection to a real person they even mention how every culture has vampire lore.

They talk about the Greek lore of how vampires were bloated corpses that spread diseases. Professor Hector Williams has been Conducting a research investigation on those who were believed to have been vampires located on a Greek island, Lesbo.

 

 In 1988 Professor Williams made a discovery that may give proof of vampires' existence. They found a wooden coffin with a stone place on top. They found an old middle-aged creature they nicknamed him Glad after Vlad the Impaler. They believed that he was a real vampire especially due to the lack of decay which is what is one reason why Greeks believed in the dead becoming vampires.

 

I think this connects with the red flag, appeal to authority. The reason why I believe this is connected is that he is a professor of archeology. He is seen as professional in his field so when he says he found something and believes it is proof of a vampire, People believe because of his authority, him being a professional in his field. I think this is also related to the Confusion of correlation with causation. I think this because he seemed to see this coffin and how it was buried differently and weirdly than other bones. and automatically assume it's because it's a vampire instead of realizing that it's not connected.
