         <title>Abrasion </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Definition:<br>A superficial rub or wearing off of the skin, usually caused by a scrape or a brush burn. <br>I<em>nitial Care: <br>- </em>Clean the wound with a non-fibre shedding material or sterile gauze, and use an antiseptic such as Betadine.<br>- Don't scrub at embedded dirt, as this can traumatise the site even more.<br>- Cover the cleaned wound with an appropriate non-stick sterile dressing.<br>Post Care:&nbsp;<br>-Wash the scrape with clean water 2 times a day. Don't use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol, which can slow healing.&nbsp;<br>- You may cover the scrape with a thin layer of petroleum jelly, such as Vaseline, and a non-stick bandage.&nbsp;<br>- Keep it warm, helps it heal faster and don't use creams or spray. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Definition: A wound that is produced by the tearing of soft body tissue.<br>Initial Care:<br>- Apply direct pressure to the wound.<br>- If possible, elevate the wound above the heart.<br>- Do not tie a tourniquet around an affected limb.<br>- If bleeding stops, let some water run over the wound.<br>- If muscle, tendon, bone, or organs are exposed, do not try to push them back into place.</div><div>Post Care:<br>- Keep the wound clean and dry for the first 12-24 hours<br>- Clean by running cool water over the area and then use mild soap and water if possible.<br>- apply antibiotic ointment and cover the wound with a sterile gauze bandage and medical tape.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Definition:&nbsp; A surgical cut made in skin or <a href="https://www.google.com/search?safe=active&amp;sca_esv=572849866&amp;rlz=1CANEHU_enUS982&amp;q=flesh&amp;si=ALGXSlanL1aSLkbkKVKYTZ8siJOeh7vuYuzaj4P44lIUU8O7G04dbIrhuiDzZ4qB4vgc9SIewhn_tF1fgtxu2oV13R2JIvCHMQ%3D%3D&amp;expnd=1">flesh</a>.<br>Initial Care:&nbsp;<br>- Gently wash it with soap and water to remove the crust.<br>- Do not scrub or soak the wound.<br>- Do not use rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or iodine, which can harm the tissue and slow wound healing.<br>- Air-dry the incision or pat it dry with a clean, fresh towel before reapplying the dressing.</div><div>Post Care:&nbsp;<br>- Keep your incision dry.<br>- It's usually okay to wash with soap and water by the second day.&nbsp;<br>-&nbsp; Take a shower instead of a bath if you have stitches or skin tape on your incision.<br>-Gently towel-dry the incision after washing.</div>]]></description>
