We planed this hike for an all-day thing and it turned out great we left home at 4 in the morning to eat something before heading to the mountains and it took about 9 hours of hiking up and back down. The elevation of the mountain was 4,193.
As a little kid my parents always took me places to hike and also small parks like peters canyon. We had usually done these activities right after church and hike or walked around neighborhoods.

Chris has proved to his family and friends that he will one day travel to Alaska and be happy there. That shows Chris how he takes action and sticks to it rather than others talking about their dreams and never completing them.

Chris's Dad did not get along with his son because he was just like him. The kids were gifted (p.106) with having wealthy parents who work hard. But most of the time this family would argue and fight and it would be like wars inside the house. Chris didn't like the fact that his Dad was abusive to his Mother so he decided to leave his home for his own good.

Analysis: Having a wealthy family doesn't mean that it is a happy family but sometimes money could bring a smile. Jon realizes that he is pushing himself away too far with his dreams because he didn't care to die on that mountain he just wanted to accomplish his goal.

Analysis: Jon is trying to prove that Chris is not the only one to chase the crazy dreams that others won't believe. Jon rembers of his complicated (p.147) past thing that happened with his Father and thats what makes him want to move his depression to the side and remake the atempt of rockclimbing the devils thumb and he take that motivation inside his head and continues to rockclimb soon he finialy accomlished his goal and tries to tell people who he knows about what he did and many people were not surprised or beleived him. After staying over there for awhile he begins to find tools and other wildlife needs for hunting animals he wrote a letter of how many animals he killed each day but his biggest surpsies to him was killing a moose (pg. 166) and he rememberd to cook the body in one whole from his friends who gave him some advice.

Summary: Jon Krakauer had discovered Chris's body by tracking down his footsteps and with some other hunters. Chris had could have used the map (pg.173) that was given out but he decided not to take one to walk back to the bus. But once Chris came back after leaving the bus he had to cross the river (pg.173) but he couldn't make it across from the high level of water rise. When before Chris was crossing the river and having trouble the hunters had a feeling to wait nearby his bus to see if he would ever come back.

Analysis: My thought to Chris is why wouldn't he take more supplies just in case of any trouble or something important happens. I'm sure that if he were to take the map and some supplies he would have made it out with more food and contain more fat.

Summary: After the Hunters had left the bus waiting for Chris to come back, Chris had eventually traveled back to his shelter and he was weak starving, and failed his multiple attempts at hunting. Chris had some other foods that were dangerous to his health because he didn't have enough fat to fight off the toxins (pg. 193) and poisoning (pg. 191) plants. He had made his decision to not go back and hunt and wrote about his amazing fun experience with nature and Alaska hiking several times. He also wrote saying: "I HAVE HAD A HAPPY LIFE AND THANK THE LORD. GOODBYE AND MAY GOD BLESS ALL" (p. 199) he was found dead after a few weeks from the six people.

Analysis: I feel upset that Chris couldn't make it without food but I'm also glad that he's made his dreams come true to discover Alaska and to have fun out in the wild. He also appreciates life what it haves to give him and understand the feeling of a wildlife.

Summary: Once Chris had given up on hunting for animals like squirrels p.1 he started to eat potato seeds p.4 but he wasn't sure if there were okay for his health. He was starving and had no choice but to eat the seeds that had L-canavanine p.9. He was found dead inside his bus and people weren't sure if he died of starvation p.1 or if any toxic foods positioned him. Chris had an amazing dream for himself and he continued to find information from different other people's advice. And he took that opportunity to have fun in the wild to himself.

Analysis: Jon Krakauer definitely spent so much time investigating Chris's death and was concerned about how he died. I could imagine that Jon could take Chris's story and prevent the situations that he is going to face throughout his trip.

Ever since I was a young kid, my parents would always take me to peters canyon right after church and I would feel exhausted but I would also enjoy the nature around me and the time spent with my parents. But this picture above shows me and my parents when we hiked mount baldy, it was the worst and the best experience because the hike took a whole day to complete but an amazing feeling right after accomplishing this mountain.

My goal is to hike more mountains all around the orange county to experience different trials. The way I could make that happen is to encourage my parents and other friends they have to join us so that way we could hike mountains we never did. I also want to encourage people to go out to the mountains and walk them to understand the feeling and excitement of keeping your body moving and healthy.

Reading Chris's story is heartbreaking and amazing at the same time. Chris has one thing in mind to travel to Alaska and discover the wild he wanted to face. He had wealthy parents who didn't really give Chris and his Sister enough attention. But he really loved his sister they would get along really well and had a great relationship together.

Couple things I disliked about Chris was he never told his parents and his close sister about running away from home and travleing to Alaska. And the time when Chris was hunting towards the end of the story, Chris could have went to the cabin to take some supplies with him inorder to survive in the wild. And Chris has shut down many people he talked to through his way to Alaska, which made me abset that he rejected them.

But there is also many things I loved about him which had faced his challeng and had setted his goal without distraction in front of him. I also love that he took some advice from people he meet and rembered to things and did them out in the wild. I like they way he thinks about the government trying to control everybody and he does not put himself apart of that situation.
