- in 1847 he attended college in which he studied sciences

-in 1854 he began working as a professor. One

study of his was based off of finding scientific

solutions to problems in the area.

drink, wine or beer, soured. He discovered bacteria

growing in them. Later figuring out that if you boiled

the drinks and then cooled them the bacteria would

die.

- (1864) He continued studying bacteria. And later proved

,the theory of germs, that germs were the cause of illness.

- (1879) He exposes chickens to cholera, he wondered

why they didn't get sick. He figured out that the exposure

worked as a vaccine. And thus the vaccine was born

- The lifespan of people has almost doubled due less life loss from the cause of diseases

- now illnesses can be prevented from happening before they happen making it a lot less

common for people to become sick with a certain illness.

My explanation of this quote is that he is saying that you will have fortune or that something good will happen if you are prepared to deal with anything. This shown his motivation for doing what he did because since he said this quote, that means he knew that he had to be prepared for anything. Anything does include being prepared to fight against diseases therefore he has a motivation to create vaccines.
