Early Childhood 2-3

In this stage kids develop motor skills and gian the desire to make choices.By making the choices by themselves they gain confidence and teaches them to not be overly dependant on their parents. So parents should let kids make choices but also set boundaries to set a level of authority

Preschool years 4-5

This stage has children learn and explore language and imagination as well as starting friendships while also developing a conscience and the ability to feel guilt when they do something wrong. Parents should encourage imagination and also teach kids responsibility around this time. It is also important to avoid giving children to much criticism as it could lead to excessive guilt.

Grammar School years 6-12

This stage involves steady growth and academic importance. As kids start formal school they begin more advanced education and social skills, as a result children gian competence and start to compare themselves to others. Parents should encourage academic and extracurricular skills/interests and avoid putting pressure or unrealistic expectations on to their child that might lead to them having feeling of inferiority.

Adolescence 13-18

This is the point where children will start forming a identity for themself by emulating those around them and clinging to social groups. As they mature through puberty they develop abstract thinking while seeking relationships and autonomy. During this stage parent should have open communication with there child,and guide and support there identity, making sure they go down a good path in life.

Young Adulthood 19-30

This stage involves young adult attempting to form relationships weather they may be intimate, romantic, or sexual as this is the start of humans reproductive capabilities as well as humans peak physical form. Parent should stay connected to there children as they become adults themselves, and encourage healthy relationships and emotional opensess

Mid Adulthood 31-65

At this point in time people develop the feeling the they want people to need them, want to find fulfilment in some form. This is also a time where they start reflecting on their past and start encouraging the next generation through their own ways mainly through being a parent themselves.Parents should encourage the importance of family and their childs contributions

Late Adulthood 66+

At this point people start to fully reflect on their life and achievements, feeling a sense of fulfillment and accepting their life for what they have done. If parents are still alive at this point they should give them support and validation for all they have done and avoid concerns of being elderly
