Chapter 6-  The militia kept arriving in Concord. The regulars decided to retreat when they realized that 2,000 colonists had gathered in the town. In the 18th century people would just line up on opposite sides and shoot each other (Bad idea).The colonists did not do this. Instead they used fighting techniques that they had learned from Native Americans. They hid behind barns, trees, and rocks and fired at the British from all directions and scared the hell out of them and ran.
Chapter 10- Massachusetts was now officially at war with Great Britain. When news of the war reached the other colonies, more men arrived in Massachusetts to fight the regulars. Soon the British took control over all of Concord before they even had the chance to fire one of their muskets. When they entered the town the  red coats burned down houses were the colonists had kept their hidden weapons. When they lit the fire it spread all the way to the town hall. While the militia was looking around the town they saw the black smoke rising and decided to go and defend their town. The militia now had 450 people helping protect their town. When 96 people reached the North Bridge they guarded the bridge so the re coats could not get past. When the red coats reached the bridge each side started firing their muskets. When the firing was over 2 colonists and three British soldiers had died. Still know one could figure out who fired the first shot. Soon after that the militia had once again taken control over the bridge. But the colonists had deified the king. Now whoever shot the first shot was called the first shot round the world. CHAPTER 6: The regulars decided to retreat down the mountain that they had come up and then back down which was 18 miles because their were about 2,000 colonists grouping in their area. About 1 mile from the regulars the colonists attacked them. On the battle field each side would line and start firing. But the colonists did not do this they shared the trait with native Americans and behind barns, trees, and rocks and shoot them from all different directions. They even ran up to a bunch of regulars and shoot them from up close. The colonists were not even fallowing the rules of battle. The British could not take it anymore and turned around and ran. Chapter 10: Now a war was raging with Massachusetts and great Britain. When the word was spread some more men arrived at Massachusetts to help them fight. Very soon their were about 16,000 colonists to help fight. At first some of the colonists were not sure it was a good idea to fight Great Britain. On may 10 1775 every leader from all of the colonies had a meeting to try and figure out what to do. The chose a farmer George Washington who lived in Virginia and to be the chief of the colonial army. Now the colonists hoped to gain equal rights from the king. Chapter 6: Militia from Britain came and kept coming but then they went away and left the regulars. The rebels used fighting Technics from the french Indian war. they drove away the British.

Chapter 5 - The colonists retreated to a nearby hill because they were out numbered by the British. In the colonists retreat, the British burnt down the town hall and advanced toward the hill. Seeing that the colonists were outnumbered, the colonists retreated. Until a gun shot was fired. 5 people died because of this accidental shot. The shot officially started the war.

Chapter 6 - The militia used Native American techniques for fighting the British. The British were scared and angry because of how they were fighting. Thus, they had to retreat.

Chapter 10 - Massachusetts was now officially at war with Great Britain. When the news got out, more colonists came to fight the Brits. when this happend, the colonists made a half circle around the British. The militia  stayed at a nearby hill and refused to defend the town.  When the militia saw the burning town hall they went to defend the town. At around 9:30 the militia stood guard at the North bridge which was one of the only entrances to Concord. The British overpowered the bridge. When a retreat truce was motion a gun fired and then the battle started. The shooter is unknown. The first shot was called, "shot heard 'round world."
Chapter 6: 2,000 colonists gathered in Concord. When the British (regulars) were within one mile of Concord the colonists attacked. Using Native American techniques they hid behind structures when they shot. When the colonist called a retreat they shot the British while retreating.
