Mendoza's International Airport Francisco Gabrielli is one of the most important domestic hubs in Argentina and the main international gateway to West-Center Argentina. Located just 10 km away from the main square, it's the most convenient option if you are visiting Mendoza via Buenos Aires or taking a direct connection from nearby countries. Here you have some tips to get downtown to/from the airport:

The easiest way is to take a taxi/remis (private transfer), which costs around $500-700 for the 15 minutes ride. Uber/Cabify apps are also available and might be a bit cheaper, although you should check the availability according to the time of your arrival.

You can also take the public bus to reach the main square downtown (Independencia square). Bus line 680 departs every 2 hours, taking you directly into the city. Check here for more info on the time schedule and the itinerary. This would be the cheapest option (AR$25), taking around 45 minutes to reach downtown.*

*Remember to get your SUBE card in advance. Check the SUBE post to know more about public transport in Mendoza.
<sub>
PH: https://ingenierodemillas.com/vuelo-de-mendoza-a-buenos-aires-con-norwegian-argentina/

Since 2009 the Argentinian government is developing a centralised pay-as-you-go system for the public transport called SUBE. In Mendoza, all public transport is to be paid ONLY through this system.

How does it work? You purchase a SUBE Card at one of several locations around every city included in the system. Afterwards, you have to top it up with as much money as you want (current limit is AR$1800). Every time you get onboard a bus, tram, train or any associated mean of transport, the corresponding fare will be charged.

To avoid leave you stranded in case you can't find a top-up station, the system allows you up to 2 rides even when your credit is negative. Whenever you recharge it, the corresponding debt will be deducted.

Check on the official SUBE page here for more information about the system, top up stations and conditions.

Since 2018, ridesharing services are allowed in Mendoza, as long as their vehicles operate according to all provincial regulations and the services are exclusively offered and hired through their websites/apps.

Currently operating companies in Mendoza are:

Uber
Cabify

This might be the best option in case you want to take a ride to a winery and/or to visit one of the little mountain villages (Potrerillos, Uspallata, Las Cuevas) along the international route to Chile, without having to wait for the bus. Remember that internet connections on these areas is scarce, so you might have to check availability for your return trip and/or book it in advance.
