The positive aspect is that you would prevent being robbed or harrassed.
The negative aspect is that others can block you and you couldn't interact with many people.
If we had this technology now, there would be many problems in interaction, communication, business and interpersonal relationships. For example, you couldn't meet new people or talk to somebody you need to.
