A Moral Dilemma It was 12 years after Pinocchio had become a real-life boy, he moved to New York City and became a well-renowned lawyer. Using his good conscience and his desire to uphold justice to help people in need, be the voice for those who do not have one. Sometimes it is not easy to make decisions in such a sensitive field as one should consider the safety of the public and keep in mind the promise one makes to their client. One day as Pinocchio was sitting in his office going through case files, he received a phone call from the state assigning him to defend a man, he could not decline as he was required to do so by the state. That same afternoon Pinocchio flipped through the case file, it was a case of alleged insurance fraud, “It is an easy win” he thought to himself, but boy was he wrong! As the days went by and Pinocchio had time to talk with his client and fact-check the case files, he release that his client was at fault and is a criminal, he made false insurance claims and uses that money as a cover-up for illegal sources of money. As the time of trial becomes closer Pinocchio was faced with a moral dilemma does he break client confidentiality as the evidence that proves him guilty has to do with something he said to Pinocchio if he doesn’t this criminal might win and get to roam around with harming with no consequences for his crime.Pinocchio decided to get the help of his mentor Jiminy Cricket so he asked him, do I prioritize my duty as a lawyer and defend my client’s rights or do I expose him which can hurt my credibility as a a good lawyer and risk losing his license?” “You should do the right thing and expose him so he doesn’t go and harm anyone else despite the consequences,” said Jiminy. Pinocchio thought of his mentor’s advice as he went on into the courtroom, his body was there but his mind was not there, he was brought back into reality by the judge's voice asking him to make his clients plead. Pinocchio had to make a fast decision, “ My client pleads guilty” he said. The whole room gasped knowing well that the defendant's ego was too big to plead guilty. Pinocchio explained the evidence and soon enough that man was behind bars. After careful consideration, Pinocchio’s testimony was not grounds for suspension as that the evidence helped put away a notorious wanted criminal. Pinocchio is now a well-respected and profound lawyer who is known for his strong convictions and his dedication to pursuing justice. The story's moral is to always trust your intuition and listen to your conscience because it always leads you to the right path. "

A different ending to Pinocchio’s story After Pinocchio becomes a real boy, he quickly and unexpectedly realizes that life as a human is more challenging than he expected. Despite the fact he was excited at first, he soon finds himself getting into trouble, making poor decisions, and loosing friends because of his impulsive behavior. He starts wishing he could go back to being a puppet, where like felt simpler. One day, while he was walking through the forest, Pinocchio meets an old turtle that taught him a valuable and important lesson: "True growth doesn’t come from being perfect, but from learning from your mistakes". The turtle teaches him to think before acting, be honest even when it's hard, and take responsibility for his mistakes…… Pinocchio returns to Geppetto’s workshop and decides to show his growth. He spends time carving wooden toys for the children in the village, not because he has to, but because he wants to give back the kindness he has received. Through this, he learns that helping others brings him true happiness. By the end of the story, Pinocchio understands that growing up is about learning from mistakes, changing for the better, and making the world a kinder place. Geppetto smiles, proud of the boy Pinocchio has become and the kind heart he has developed. "

When a local tries to speak to Geppetto, he turns to find Pinocchio has vanished without a trace. Confused, the local tells Geppetto that there was never anyone there.

When Pinocchio’s wish to become a real boy was given by the Blue Fairy, he couldn’t help but feel that something was missing. He looked at Geppetto, whose eyes shone with joy but also with a hint of sadness. Geppetto, who was so energetic and full of life, had become exhausted. His hands shook as he worked on his beloved carvings. One evening, Pinocchio found Geppetto quietly sanding a small wooden figure on his workbench. “Father,” Pinocchio asked, “what are you making?” Geppetto smiled gently, a warm sparkle in his eyes. “Oh, just a little memory,” he replied. He lifted the figure, revealing a charming wooden boy, crafted with the same love and care he had once poured into making Pinocchio. Pinocchio felt a deep pain in his chest. “Father, do you miss… who I used to be?” he asked softly. Geppetto paused, then nodded gently. “You were a miracle. I miss the sound of your wooden feet on the floor, the warmth of your wooden hand in mine. Yes, your wooden body could sometimes be rough, but… I suppose we parents always miss who our children were as they grow.” That night, Pinocchio tossed and turned, unable to sleep. He couldn’t stop thinking about Geppetto’s words. Suddenly, he heard a gentle tapping at his window. Curiously, he peeked out and saw the Blue Fairy waiting for him. When he opened the door, she smiled kindly and asked, “Pinocchio, my little angel, I’ve heard you’ve been feeling a bit down. Is that true?” Pinocchio nodded. “I just feel like I’m not in the right body. This human form is amazing, but it doesn’t represent who I truly am. What matters isn’t my meat and bone it’s the spirit of selflessness that helped me escape the giant whale, the bravery I’ve shown, and the love that brings joy to Geppetto.” The Fairy smiled warmly. “You have truly learned the meaning of life. Being ‘real’ isn’t about having a body of meat but about the strength of your soul.” Pinocchio hesitated, then asked, “Can you… can you make me wooden again?” With a wave of her wand, the Blue Fairy transformed Pinocchio back into his wooden self. In the morning, Pinocchio surprised Geppetto, whose face lit up like the dawn when he saw him. Their home was soon filled with laughter and the joyful sound of wooden feet dancing across the floor."

After Pinocchio had been in the sea for many days, he finally found his way onto the land where he'd been found. He didn't know where he was; he was lost, terrified, scared, hungry, and cold. It turned out that a group of children from a local primary school had found him in his current state, washed up on the local beach. They had been there trying to play when they saw the body of the wooden puppet washed ashore, his puppet strings barely attached to his limp body, looking rather sad. The children approached the puppet that was near the shore. Nervously, they poked their chubby little curious hands at the puppet, wondering what it was. It turns out that Pinocchio had been lost at sea for so long that he only ended up reaching the shore 100 years later. He had basically time-travelled—one day being a puppet in the 1920s, looking for his father after running away from home to fulfill a long-lost wish, and now, in the year 2020, surrounded by schoolchildren curious about what was in front of them. Pinocchio lay still from the shock to his body. He could hear everything, feel everything, the pebbles at the side as he looked onto the shore, and he could see the waves and the sand of the beach. He must've been in a small European town, concerned about how clean it was, but he didn't know that, of course. Pinocchio lay there, with the children still poking their fingers at him, wondering what he was. You see, puppets like Pinocchio weren't as popular in 2020. They were usually known as vintage items, often sold in specialty stores. But seeing one in such a non-damaged form, lying out in the open, was quite rare. In fact, it was rare to find anything not damaged washed up on shore to begin with. But now, problem number two arrived: the puppet tried to move his body, but he simply couldn't. He lay there, hopeless, wondering what had happened. He couldn't move, but he could feel everything. It was as if all his senses were still there, but his body had stopped responding. He felt like he had been there forever, waiting for something to happen. Eventually, the kids left, but then he started to miss the attention. He didn’t know what had happened. One second, he had been crashed around by the waves, and now he was lying on a rain-drenched beach on a sunny summer day. He was terrified. He didn't know where he was. He was scared. And honestly, all he could think about was going back to his father. He lay there all day. Then nighttime came. He wondered what would become of him now as the lights faded. The only lights he could see were from the stars in the sky. Still unable to move, Pinocchio had given up. Suddenly, he heard a voice in his ear. "Pinocchio? Pinocchio? Are you there? Can you hear me? Are you okay?" It was none other than the familiar voice of Jiminy Cricket. Pinocchio tried to speak, but he couldn't form a word. The cricket, somehow sensing that Pinocchio wanted to communicate, spoke again: "Don't worry, I have someone who will help you." Pinocchio didn't hear anything as he started to feel sick again. Had he been abandoned once more? But then, he heard another voice—the one that had started this whole journey. "Pinocchio, it's been ages," said the Blue Fairy. "I remember promising you that if you could prove yourself, I would let you be a real boy. That was your heart's wish, right?" Pinocchio couldn’t think. Was that really what he wanted? The fairy spoke again. "I can tell it's not what you want. So tell me, what is your true desire? And I will grant you your final wish." Pinocchio finally managed to speak. "I want to see my father. I want to be wherever he is, and I want to be with him forever. He might be frustrated with me, I know, but he has done so much for me that I've overlooked, and I want to be with him now—real boy or not.""

Pinocchio After selflessly sacrificing himself to save Geppetto, the Blue Fairy elegantly approached Pinocchio with a loving smile. Trembling, he expected her to turn him into a real boy. Instead, she said, "Pinocchio, you have always been real. Your bravery, kindness, and selflessness are what make you human, not your appearance." Pinocchio furrowed his brows in confusion and glanced down at his wooden hands. Reflecting on his journey, he realized she was right. With a heavy heart, he embraced Geppetto's proud figure, feeling grateful for the love that had shaped him. Though he remained a puppet, Pinocchio lived the rest of his days helping others embrace selflessness. (poem) Never trust a mirror, For a mirror always lies, It makes you think that all you're worth, Can be seen from the outside. Never trust a mirror, It only shows you what's skin deep, You can't see how your eyelids flutter, When you're drifting off to sleep, It doesn't show you what the world sees, When you're only being you, Or how your eyes light up, When you're loving what you do. It doesn't capture when you're smiling, Where no-one else can see, And your reflection cannot tell you, Everything you mean to me. Never trust a mirror, For it only shows your skin, And if you think that it dictates your worth, It's time you looked within. -Erin Hanson"
