We sanitize every child area after eating snack (and as needed throughout the sessions). At the end of each session, we disinfect all used materials, student spaces, and other high touch areas again. 

We keep track of our sanitizing and disinfecting on a recording sheet. The A&C Bags have markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, gluesticks, scissors etc. 
This eliminates sharing of materials. 

These bags are all spray disinfected after use and stored in a box labeled for their specific Cohort (A or B). 
Students are encouraged to not share personal items.

Cohort A is Green. Cohort B is Orange. Everyday our outdoor equipment is double disinfected (AM and PM) with the school-provided disinfectant.

That is a school rule that must be followed by students and staff alike.

Our MacNuggets can be mask-less while we are outside, as we have them maintain a 6 ft. Social Distance. This is a nice option for us afterschool.

We have created Mask Break Bags. Students wear their own lanyard, protecting their paper-towel wrapped mask inside. They are disinfected by staff every day on our plastic bulletin board.

The soaping portion of hand-washing is monitored to assure children are washing for 20 seconds.
Reasons and Times for Children to Wash Hands.
1) Whenever entering the program space or coming in from outdoors .
2) Before and After eating snack or taking medicine (if child has medicine). This includes any food preparation/set up.
3) After using the bathroom.
4) After sneezing, blowing nose, coughing, etc.
5) If we touch or are going to touch: 
  • Any "body stuff" like blood, vomit, phlegm, boogers, etc.
  • Shared items like toys, games, or art supplies.
  • Sandbox, Playdough, Slime, etc.
  • Bandaids, gauze or other first aid items.
  • Animals
If hand-washing is not immediately possible, we use the school-provided hand sanitizer.
