Dual monitor setups for learners - to improve use of digital resources

Graphics tablets - screen based ‘Cintique’ style tablets rather than the basic type so that learners can see their work directly rather than on a separate PC monitor

CPD (software-specific and processes) to keep up to date with the industry for both learners and staff

Remote learning - embracing this more to improve rooming situations in our area (Games Production) as well as rolling out further specialist PC setups in more rooms as we are rapidly struggling resource-wise due to quick growth in courses

Manage the lack of technology in class (mainly not enough laptops) with students using their own devices (either phones and laptops), giving them more access to Century, Teams, Waypoint, etc. this would help with both engagement and independent study skills

L2 and L3 Y1 9:00 - 10:30

L3 Y2 10:45 - 12:15

This is to be trialled during one of our meeting slots and we invite all learners online for the trial. Individual tutors and groups will have breakout rooms for 1:1’s etc. Century ME, Votes for Colleges etc. delivered in these remote times. The other 1.5 hours will be workshop based remote delivery.

We are going to do a "digital skills bootcamp" where we do tutorials on Canva and Capcut in lessons to build skills.

In the new year students will create a mini vlog about their college journey so far including trips and visits to showcase their skills

Learners behaviours are very much related to engagement with activities. Allowing learner freedom of choice over the activities they do will vastly improve engagement and therefore behaviour.

Ask learners to check their own writing (especially spelling, punctuation and grammar) on Co-Pilot.

This can be monitored by implementing the activity during the lesson.

This will encourage learners to engage in a greater level of self-reflection and self-assessment.
