Action Steps: 

A. Find out what courses I need to take and figure out which courses credits will transfer to my university.

B. Organize the workload for my classes, from most important to least important.

C. Study. Get help from classmates and professors to help me be successful in my classes. Ask questions for certain subjects I am not getting. 

Academic Goal 2: I want to transfer to the University of Maryland College Park by Fall 2021 majoring in Psychology.

Action Steps: 

A. Figure out what classes I need to take that will transfer to UMD.

B. Talk to an advising counselor to get help with my transfer process and what courses I need to take.

C. Talk to a counselor at UMD to get more information about transfer, courses, financial need, academics and make an academic plan.

Academic Goal 3: Obtain my bachelors degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland. 

Action Steps:

A. Meet with counselors at UMD and talk about my major and my what I plan to do with the major.

B. Go over courses and stay on track with how many credits I have and need to obtain.

C. Make a plan with my goals and tasks that I need to complete to get my bachelors. Talk to advising about graduation eligibility.

Career Goal 1:  I want to find an internship in correlation to my psychology major that will help me gain insight and a feel for working in that field.

Action Steps:

A: Talk with my counselor about internship opportunities and what exactly do I want to gain from these experiences. 

B. Contact some areas that have internships and ask questions that pertain to what I’d like to do & learn from the program. 

C. Take part in an internship in clinical psychology.

Career Goal 2: Be able to work in a mental health facility to start gaining experience in my field as a clinical psychologist. 

Action Steps:

A.Search online for jobs that I can use my learned skills and abilities that pertain to my career.

B. Try to network with other people who work at the facility and try to find more opportunities to advance help me become more advanced.

C. Work closely with my co-workers who are more experienced and advanced and learn.

Career Goal 3: Work as a full time clinical Psychologist in the government or a hospital facility. 

Action Steps:

Identify what area I want to work in and figure out my commute.

Contact hospitals and or government facilities that are hiring for my type of career in clinical psychology.

C. Find a job in a facility with other psychologists and work full time in my career.
