Having a child help you in the kitchen when baking or mixing ingredients is a great way to increase their preoperational stage because it will move into their memory and later help them when they need to make something.

Playing a game such as a matching game can improve their concrete operational because when you flip over the card they can remember which one was which.

Concrete- Any kind of differentiated game, when two pictures are placed next to each other and the child has to choose what Is different about the two pictures.
Formal- Any kind of trivia board game because the child is capable of thinking outside the box now.

Formal- a mystery or investigation board game would be a fun game for adolescents in this stage because it forces them to think outside the box using the clues the game gives you.
