         <description><![CDATA[<div>Scylla fought against Odysseus on the Strait of Messina along with Charybdis, also known as a whirlpool. <br><br>“The shipwrecked Odysseus [attempted to escape Scylla by] clinging to a tree until the improvised raft that she swallowed floated to the surface again after many hours” killing all the sailors on the ship.<br><br>If sailors travel to close to either side of the strait of Messina, they will perish. Scylla would grab and eat the unwary sailors immediately, killing them.</div>]]></description>

This phrase is used in choosing of two things that are equally difficult or bad luck relating to how the sailors have to choose the path of Scylla or Charybdis. <br><br>Charybdis is viewed as a whirlpool, and Scylla is viewed as a three headed deadly monster.</div>]]></description>
