  • What is the possibility of SHS providing an extra aide (and/or a separate math resource teacher for 5-8 math) as well as more options for parents to communicate their math needs/concerns?
  • Also, has SHS thought about forming an after school ‘math club’ for students that may need extra support with math? 
  • A couple of parents are requesting free dress or one volunteer hour for those who are donating turkeys tomorrow.

I believe there is a reason why we got to 100% Angel Fund participation and it wasn't just because of an In 'N Out party! The entire SHS faculty, in particular Marie, have done an incredible job of providing the children with a sense of normalcy in an ever-changing and challenging world, and parents are picking up on that. The academics remain strong and the children haven't missed a beat in terms of their education and social development.

The addition of Amanda Throckmorton the school counsellor has been a positive one. My son has met with her a few times as he was having trouble with the transitions of the past year for our family, and she has been a great resource in helping him navigate his way through these changes.

Both boys come home every day and say they have had a good day at school and that they have great friends, and as a parent that is really the only
thing that matters.

  • Partnered with Homeward Bound, Play Marin, Love Marin, Marin Food Bank, Kids & Art, Lasagna Love (potentially) 
    • Hosting and teaming with these groups for weekly, monthly events
    • Inviting the Leaders form Organizations to our morning assembly (Nov, Jan)
    • Creating a junior high partnership with Homeward Bound for 2022 - will be able to be engulfed in specific service - field trip model
    • PAB, TPA and classroom liaisons will be asked to help with supervision and parent support for events 
    • Communicating to student body of service achievements - part of our culture - highlighting servicing done by students at morning assembly 

Homeward Bound: 
  • End of January - representatives from Homeward Bound will come visit our school during AM assembly
  • Partner with events in 2022
  • Classes will go to a specific site location sponsored by Homeward Bound (clothes distribution, gardening, tree planting) 9-11:30am 
    • February - 8th grade 
    • March - 7th grade 
    • April - 6th grade 
    • May - 5th grade
