Robert Frost's Home Burial explores the quiet breakdown of a relationship under the weight of loss, while August Wilson's The Piano Lesson shows characters wrestling with the ghosts of the past in their pursuit of healing. Maya Angelou's Still I Rise offers a triumphant answer to those struggles, asserting a powerful message of endurance and hope. In Xu Xi's Famine, emotional starvation reflects literal and symbolic loss. I chose images that evoked mood like broken homes, rising figures, and heirlooms to support the tone of each piece.
