After creating accounts for both sites, browsing them both, and saving multiple different posts across both sites I have come up with a few ways that these sites are similar and how they contrast, and some advantages and disadvantages of both.

The first thing I noticed after browsing both sites for a while was the lack of options for searching on Pocket without paying for the premium subscription. I found this to be very annoying for managing information as it can only show you articles you're not necessarily looking for and can be frustrating if you are looking for articles on a specific topic. At the same time, this lack of search can help broaden your perspectives into an article that you previously may not have clicked on. For example, whilst browsing pocket I was browsing the 'Gaming' section and stumbled upon an interesting article on a TV show I'm currently watching called "The Last of Us" which was originally a game on the Playstation.

In the case of Pinterest, you can easily search for whatever topic you want and it can be as niche as possible and there will more than likely be posts there. The downside to this is that the posts are often a lot less educational or provide information and are more so pictures. Due to the caption limit it can be hard to learn from Pinterest unless it is an Infographic, video tutorial of some sort, or leads you to an article via a website link. 

Overall both websites are very interesting and useful but overall in terms of education and managing information, I'd favour Pocket as it has more 'information' on it.
