         <description><![CDATA[<div>FASE 1: DEGRADAZIONE </div><div><strong>DEGRADAZIONE FISICA o disgregazione</strong> è un processo di sgretolamento delle rocce causato dalle escursioni termiche diurne, dal gelo e disgelo (azione criclastica), dal vento, dal moto ondoso e dalla liberazione di tensioni residue per riduzione della pressione di carico in seguito ad erosione. Provoca la riduzione delle dimensioni dei granuli, con aumento delle superfici esposte, senza cambiamento della composizione chimica e del volume totale della roccia frantumata. Essa agisce con particolare efficacia nelle regioni a clima arido e nelle regioni che per altitudine o latitudine hanno escursioni termiche che oscillano attorno al punto di fusione del ghiaccio.</div><div><strong>DEGRADAZIONE CHIMICA o disfacimento</strong>è l'azione più capillare e incisiva in quanto determina il cambiamento di composizione chimica attraverso reazioni di ossidazione, dissoluzione, idratazione, idrolisi e carbonatazione. Essa è determinata da agenti dell'atmosfera (ossigeno, anidride carbonica e vapor acqueo) e dell'idrosfera (acqua e sali) che lentamente aggrediscono le superfici esposte delle rocce e dei loro frammenti operando una selezione dei componenti. Le specie mineralogiche che si sono formate in condizioni più lontane da quelle superficiali sono più instabili e tendono a dare nuovi legami chimici e nuovi reticoli cristallini. </div><div><strong>DEGRADAZIONE BIOLOGICA</strong>è prodotta dagli organismi viventi, in particolare da quelli vegetali, e si esplica attraverso un'azione sia fisica che chimica, come l'azione di sgretolamento prodotta dalle radici (che tuttavia trattengono i frammenti e ritardano l'erosione) , da organismi litofagi o limivori e l'azione chimica prodotta dagli acidi organici.</div>]]></description>
