ENGLISH PROJECT(Diary Entry)

7/09/2020
Monday
9:00PM
Dear diary
Today was a very unusual day as compared to other days. I went for cycling near a loch; this loch was near a jungle which is assumed to be safe for the residents. But something happened which changed my assumptions ; I encountered with a dragon. YES; a dragon I know it's hard to believe but yes it is true...I was of the thought that dragons were just a part of fictional stories..but I guess I was wrong.

So it all started while I was relaxing on the shore ; but I started to feel eccentric. As if someone is running in behind the bushes. I thought of avoiding it; but then I started to experience some weeping noises which made me worried. I thought of checking behind the bushes assuming a toddler must be hoping for someone to help him and take him out of the woods.
But to my surprise I saw a creature with four legs, claws, scales and possibly spikes.. I was trying to remember who it could be after I realised who can it be I was stunned to know that I am standing in front of a baby dragon!
I was kind of scared and was in aw to see this little dragon here all alone. Without wasting any further time I kept that dragon in my bag pack and went towards my house. Secretively I took the dragon to my bedroom and locked the door in a hurry. The dragon was still weeping indicating me that he is hungry; i was thinking that what could a dragon eat?... Then it hit me that last night my father ate meat so there must be some leftover that could fill his tummy. After I bought the meat he actually was relishing it to the fullest; that made me happy.
So after he was done eating I thought of naming him. It took me awhile to decide a perfect name for him; after a long thought process I finally named him Brantley.
A perfect name for a perfect dragon! Then I thought of taking him out so that he doesn't get bored sitting at one place. I had to take him very confidentially.

Me and Brantley played a lot in the park I even taught him some new tricks. I really enjoy his company. As I was going back to home on the way I met my father; he saw me carrying Brantley. He started interrogating me about the dragon. He took me and Brantley home and talked with my mother about this and they were not in the favour of keeping Brantley. As they said it will be dangerous to keep him when he starts to grow..

I understood what they meant and I was not left with any choice but I pleaded them to keep him for a day and then we will give him to the zoo. They agreed to it; but somewhere I was feeling void, gloomy. I got attached to Brantley so much that it made difficult to accept the fact that he will be leaving tomorrow.
But anyways it's for his own good obviously a Dragon cannot live in a house forever. I enjoyed a lot today with Brantley and at the same time I am upset to leave him.
So now I would like to stop writing and get back to sleep as I have to enjoy my last day with Brantley to the fullest.
Good Night
Pramiti.
