During orientation I learned a lot about the university and made tons of friends through my orientation group. It also helped me be prepared for what was to come.

Move in day

Move in day was very bitter-sweet for me. I was excited to start a new chapter in life but also nervous because I was moving to a different state for a long period of time.

Convocation

At convocation the author's speech stuck with me because of his perspective on happiness and how to find purpose. It was unfortunate how some people were acting at the convacation because it is a direct reflection on our entire class.

First game

This was my first time attending an Ole Miss football game. My friends and I went to the grove beforehand aswell.

Trash can Friday

This was the first time I had ever seen trash can Friday and it was very cool to see and everything was so organized and carefully planned

Making new friends

My first month here has been full of meeting new people and making new friends. Many ways I have made friends include the gym, going out, going to games, etc.

Hitting the gym

My favorite thing to do in my free time is workout. I've been working out since I was 15 so now it's just part of my everyday life. The gym takes my mind off of everything while I'm there. Whenever I find myself just sitting in the dorm I will go to the gym.

Hoops

One way I have been involved on campus in playing basketball with my friends. This helped me make friends who have similar interests as me. I have played basketball my entire life and one of my goals coming here was to join something basketball related.

Visiting Tuscaloosa for Bama vs UGA

During the weekend of the Alabama vs Georgia game I went to Tuscaloosa to visit hometown friends. I have friends that attend both schools so I thought it would be fun to visit. Although I did not attend the game because of ticket prices I had a great time watching the game while out with friends. Being from Georgia I hate all uga fans so watching them walk around after the game made me feel better about the horrendous L Ole Miss took earlier that day.

Midterms

Midterms were very stressful because I was studying every day. Prior to studying I didn't know anything but ended up with an A on my midterm.

Ole Miss vs Oklahoma

This was my first home game against an SEC opponent I was able to go to. The game was a ton of fun besides the heat. This weekend was great because my dad was able to visit Ole Miss and The Grove for the first time. My friends and I ended up leaving at the start of the 4th quarter because of how hot it was. Also the game was pretty much over.

Finals

With finals approaching, I will be dedicating time out of every day to study. Finals are my number one priority because I want to finish the semester strong and not have any of my grades drop

Rushing the field after beating Georgia

Rushing the field was easily my favorite part of the semester. The atmosphere in the stadium was insane. Growing up in Georgia as an Auburn fan who was taught to hate Georgia made the win that much better for me. I also had a bunch of friends who go to Georgia stay with me and also went to the game.

Iron Bowl

The weekend after thanksgiving a bunch of my friends and I went to Alabama to stay with some friends and go to the Iron Bowl. As an Auburn fan I've always wanted to go the Iron Bowl and I finally got to scratch it off my bucket list. It also cut the drive back from break in half which was nice.

Thanksgiving Break

Over thanksgiving break my friends and I decided to do a friendsgiving since we hadn't been all together since summer. It was good seeing all my friends from home. I also went to St. Pete to visit family for thanksgiving.

Museum

Going to the university museum was interesting. There was lots of different art created by many artists and each piece of art had it's own special meaning to it. My favorite art was the more modern pieces.

Engagement Party

One of my friend's older brothers had a surprise baby and they held a surprise engagement party for them in Tuscaloosa.
