Lylah and her friends can't wait to spend a night out together. Partying is the perfect way to let loose from the stress of life and school, and Lylah hopes that hitting the dance floor with Chace, her best friend, will bring them closer. She's been crushing on him since they met. If only he thought of her the same way... The girls are touching up their makeup, and the guys are sliding on their coats when the doorbell rings. No one is there. An envelope sits on the doormat. It's an anonymous note addressed to their friend Sonny. A secret admirer? Maybe. They all laugh it off. Except Sonny never comes home. And a new note arrives: Your turn. I chose this book because I've had it for a while but never got the chance to read it. The best part so far was an argument that started between 2 characters, Sonny and Charlotte, with 2 more characters, Chace and Lylah, becoming involved shortly after it starts.

What is the main character like based on what you have read up to this point? Make a prediction on what their fate will be. The main character, Lylah, is strong and is careful what she tells people about her feelings because she doesn't want to go into detail about her parents' deaths 2 years before. She is also very careful about who she trusts ever since her and Chace found their friend, Sonny, dead. I think that Chace and Lylah will be the only 2 left that haven't gotten a note from the anonymous killer and will be the last 2 left of their friend group.

If you were to cast the main person in a movie, what celebrity would you pick and why? I would cast Lili Reinhart to play Lylah in a movie because I like her as an actress and she looks like what I imagine Lylah would look like. It said in the book that Lylah is blonde and so is Lili Reinhart.

Summarize what has happened in the your book so far in 5-8 sentences. In my book so far, Lylah's friend, Sonny, went missing and was found dead. When Lylah and Chace found Sonny, they knew that something wasn't right, and they heard the police say that his heart was missing. Shortly after the discovery of Sonny, another friend of Lylah's, Isaac, received a letter saying that he was next. The cops decided that the group of friends needed protection with them most of the time, so they each got assigned an officer. While the group was being protected and the police were searching for Sonny's killer, their neighbor, Nora, was murdered. They think the murders could be connected, but they don't know what the suspect, Jake, had to do with Nora before he left school.

Find a song that represents your book. Why does this song relate to the text? The song Paranoid by Post Malone represents my book because the group of friends keeps getting threatening anonymous notes and they're all worried. Each individual is scared that they could be the next one killed. They can't really do anything to help the investigation, so being scared is really the only thing they can do.

What is the primary conflict of the book? How do you think it will get solved? The conflict of the book is that people are getting murdered and their hearts are being stolen and they can't find/catch the suspect that they have. I think that they will catch the suspect in the act.
